The Barbacoa de Borrego has consistently been excellent. Some work has to be done here. Unfortunately, the quality of the service is subpar.If you ever need something, you must call the waitress. Because my husband doesn’t like to complain, even when he receives subpar treatment, I was shocked to find that the owner was present but had apparently missed our poor service. We always order for delivery for this reason. We dine there since we just so happened to be in the area. I wouldn’t do it once more. A sign that read Waitress Needed! caught my attention as well.

Not what I expected, come on are you serious? This guy’s re-heat the barbacoa on the microwave, the console is super expensive over priced like everything else, plus the flavorless salsa. 1st and last time not even my dogs ate it big waste of money.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch. First sign not a soul in the place. We ordered a chicken taco dinner and a steak torta then we heard a microwave go off, (red flag) not fresh food. tacos were decent, rice and beans cold and nasty. Salsa was disgusting. Now for the torta, the bread was hard and crunchy. Steak was over cooked, taste like it was microwaved. Im surprised we didnt get sick! Overall, the worse Mexican food ive eaten!! How can you justify two microwaves in your kitchen????

Wow, what a great spot to eat truly traditional pre-Hispanic Mexican cuisine; they have some truly interesting meals. It is fantastic to locate establishments like this in Chicago, therefore I will surely be mindful of the Etchicity cuisine they serve.
