We were traveling thru on a long trip and wanted some good local food. We were unsure if we were at the right location as there were evidently other restaurants with the same or similar name. This one is on S. Grand street and is painted bright red. First appearances were a little iffy but it turned out to be an amazing meal with unbelievable service at a great price. Alexis the bartender is wonderful!! This is our second time here and we travel 1100 miles just to eat here again!! I had the Adobada chicken over a bed of squash topped with cheese. Perfection!! The drinks are strong, the salsa has just enough kick and the food is Fab!! Love the vibe.. you can eat inside or out and you can’t go wrong with anything you order.

The food was very good and distinctly different from many of the other Tex-Mex restaurants that I have dined at in the Amarillo area. I would have given 5 stars for atmosphere if it was just a little bit nicer and if the air-conditioning hadn’t been struggling to keep up with the summer heat. Overall, this was a great lunch for my whole family. Thanks!

On the recommendation of our daughter, we found this place, and are very glad that we did. My fish tacos and my husband’s Mexican burger and fries were excellent. The portions were very generous and the waitstaff was attentive. We’ll return to El Bracero on our next trip through Amarillo!
