Lunch was good and the servers all wore smiles! This isn’t the world’s greatest Mexican restaurant but it is good and consistent. The decor is fun but not overwhelming and there’s an outdoor patio we’ll use when it’s cooler!

The food was overall pretty good. A little bland, but not bad. We had asked for extra sour cream and never got any. The server didn’t come back to check on us; only after we got the bill did she come back. The other wait staff was fairly nice, they are the ones that refilled our drinks for us. We waited about 30min. It was a Friday night at 7:30pm so it was a little busy. Overall a pretty decent experience.

I have eaten at El Cabo multiple times over the years and I will say it is excellent in food quality, atmosphere, and service. The older town area of Walnut Cove is evolving into an eclectic and trendy venue that is almost anchored around this restaurant.

Food was great as usual, service was terrible. Not busy, plenty of staff. Seated promptly, given menus, ordered soft drinks, got drinks and and chips. Weren’t ready to order yet, she said she would be back. Took forever, then food took forever. Will probably never go back.

Great food, horrible staff. Saw on side of road during a Saturday afternoon, less than 5 customers on the inside except the employees (which were quite a few). Great food. Didn’t take long. Only problem is this waitstaff couldn’t handle the only 2 tables that were in there. Everything seemed rushed when the table was visited. Sometimes not even a word mentioned. Come on train your staff to cater toward your customers that are coming in. Not recommended. Unless you don’t mind waiting 5 minutes for a box. Or another 10 minutes for sour cream that was forgotten. The food came out quicker than the receipt, and there was still only 5 customers in the restaurant.
