We decided to stop here while we were in Cherokee. Hubby and I both got #10 on the lunch menu. DH did not want the guacamole salad so he asked if he could swap that out for beans. His order came with the guacamole salad and beans but no rice. We told the waiter and he said he would be back with some rice, but never returned or checked on us. The

The buffet bar was an experience I’ve never had with Mexican food, so that was nice. Half the buffet had a variety of things to make tacos with. It wasn’t a huge buffet table, but what they had was good. Servers were really polite and friendly and kept the drinks full the whole time. I’d definitely come back

Vacation in Cherokee NC and stopped at El caj in the afternoon. Had steak fajitas and a margarita. Both were delicious, and them fajitas were the best I’ve had so far. Taste was awesome , the service was excellent as it was busy! Nice job El !

If you’re on vacation and hungry for some good Mexican food, don’t pass this place up. Conveniently located near the mill and other nice shops, this place has a very reasonably priced menu and tasty food. I got the lunch Chori Pollo and it was delicious! The fajitas looked very good as well. I love that they have hot sauce at the table so you can have your salsa as mild or hot as you’d like it! The reason why I gave the atmosphere only 3 stars is because their bathrooms needed some attention. One door wouldn’t latch and the toilet seat was missing from one of the stalls in the women’s room.

This little gem of a place is probably one of the locals best kept secrets since you have to get on the back side of town to find it…with googles help. The staff was friendly & the food was delicious. I ordered a large bowl of cheese dip & let me tell you that it was the biggest bowl of cheese dip I have ever received at any restaurant. We were a party of four & had a tamale, an el pastor taco, beef tip plate, taco salad, and a steak taco. The whole order was hot, fresh & delicious. The waiter also made sure we kept hot fresh chips. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for Mexican food.

A family owned Mexican restaurant featuring authentic fare. We were happy to discovered the noon buffet, although we ate more than we needed. The staff was friendly and attentive.

This little gem is tucked away in a beautiful mountain setting. The food is outstanding, the service is personable, and the price was totally reasonable. I am so glad we stumbled onto this place. The young lady who waited on us was just absolutely friendly. Great place!

This restaurant is amazing! The service is great and the food is delicious. We had some questions about the daily special – Pazole. They actually brought us some to try. It was definitely delicious, but we decided to get the Texas Fajitas. They were seasoned just right and there was more than enough to eat. Their chips are warm and very fresh!.
