We ordered food to go, and were told it would be a 15 minute wait. After 45 minutes she told us that they lost our order and she had to completely redo it. After another 30 we finally had our food, which is as bad as the service. My $24 carne asada burrito looks like the ingredients were dumped together in a tin and not put together at all (photo attached.) The quality of the food was not worth the absurd wait and terrible customer service.

The food is so fresh and the margaritas are amazing!! Highly recommend their “fresh margarita”. Staff is super friendly and service was quick. Price is good considering it’s in the Village and the could probably charge more. We love coming here and definitely recommend!!

Fun atmosphere, kind and attentive service, big portions and good food. It’s a small restaurant so you may have to wait for a table but that’s the nature of dining at a vacation spot during the busy season so adjust your expectations. Worth a visit!

I honestly loved this place. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the overall aesthetic of the place wasn’t overwhelming. Just a really awesome Mexican cuisine experience from start to finish. The Colorado Burrito was excellent and I’d come back for the refried beans alone.

It wasn’t busy inside though there was a short wait for dining outside. The service was prompt enough and everything came as ordered. The food was good, though I wasn’t all that impressed with the tortilla chips, but not really a big deal. I was very tempted to give a four star rating because I did not like the responses to some of the reviewers with personal slights. Nothing at all wrong with explaining or defending your business. It’s a lot better also if responses weren’t only made to negative reviewers. The prices are very affordable and it is definitely a good place to eat.

We were staying in the area and decided to try this place coz we were craving Mexican food. We had the Black Bean Tostada and the Chicken Enchiladas. We both thought that the food was just average. Nothing that would want us to come back here again.

We went on a Thursday at 5:00pm, mid August this month. The food was ok, really loud and no A/C. Long waits to get food and drinks. Expected better. Staff was friendly, that was the only positive.

I don’t know what sort of Mexican cuisine you’re used to at home, but this was terrible. Soooo terrible. Skip this place if you’re visiting. Taco Bell is more “Mexican” than whatever it is this place served us. If my kids hadn’t been using my phone I would have taken pics to show, but you can look at ones others have posted to get an idea of what this place attempts to pass off as …food. You expect the prices to be inflated in a resort restaurant like Sunriver, but this isn’t fair to call it Mexican food. We live in the South, so perhaps we’re more exposed to what Mexican food encompasses than folks that live in northern states, but anyone thinking this is the resort’s Mexican restaurant will be sorely mistaken. I cannot recommend ANY other place other than El Caporal more. If you’re on vacation with your family, do NOT subject them to this atrocity.
