Stopped in here for a late breakfast on the way home from the airport. Everybody was very friendly and the food was great. I got a small Menudo and it was delicious. Family got some burritos and they love them. You get one free refill on the aqua Fresca, not something I usually see.

Busy counter service spot for excellent Mexican dishes. The El Carrito signature chillaquiles dish was delicious with a creamy poblano chili sauce over thick corn chips accented with sour cream and Jack cheese. The earthy sauce was punctuated nicely with corn that was toasted slightly to bring out the natural sweetness. The complexity of flavors brought this seemingly simple dish to a higher level. Fun atmosphere in what used to be a cable car. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Friendly, efficient service. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes.

Came to this mid spot for a quick breakfast. Not my first choice but it’s convenient for me. The food is just tossed together with no love. I’ve been here a few times and it’s a miss every time. Like I said, it’s convenient. I never had a problem with service before. It’s quick and painless but on this particular day I ordered a “create your own” omelette(boring) and listed it has a variety of 3 peppers. Clearly I can read, and as a chef in the community for 10 years I’m well versed on various ingredients and particularly chili peppers. In order according to the menu, I asked for tomatoes, jalapeños and green bell peppers. The blonde curly haired person at the register proceeded to argue with me a with a teenager attitude trying to shut me up and tell me that I didn’t know the difference between the peppers. “Uuhhh do you want serranos?” I told him I was sure I knew what I ordered and still try to shut me up. There’s a level of respect you should have in that position and I was completely uncomfortable eating here. As I’m typing this I’m taking bites of an unseasoned omelette and some sad, cold potatoes that have probably been sitting in a bowl on a shelf for 20 minutes. A $14 omelette on a paper plate worth it? I wouldn’t have paid $6 for it. Oh well they got me. Lost a customer too.

This spot has some delicious options for breakfast! I believe they have limited hours but they make amazing chilaquiles. My favorite are the divorciados or the chipotle chilaquiles. Their is seating inside and outside. Highly recommend!

Omg the carnitas Torta (pancho villa)! Paloma was also bomb. Great staff and service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Front and back outdoor seating. Very cool spot. About $40 for 2 tortas and 2 drinks.

The food was amazing. I would have recommend the divorciados meal because the sauce is unreal.

Ordered 12 tacos (2 of 6 kinds – steak, pork machaco, carnitas, chorizo, fish, and bacon). All of them were amazing. Too may tacos for the 2 of us but worth trying all of them! Service was good and didn’t take too long. You get a number with your receipt and someone comes outside calling your number out to bring you your food. There’s seating inside, outside or in their patio area. We sat right outside restaurant entrance where there was fresh air and some music going.

Great food with a cute atmosphere where the establishment is a 1930s cable car.
