Do not get the “puffy tacos,” first of all they are not puffy, it was similar to a gordita instead of a puffy tacos. The beef in the tacos had no flavor at all. There was so much water and grease dripping from the tacos that they were splitting open on the bottom. They were absolutely disgusting. The “salsa” and chips they bring has no flavor, it’s like a can of tomato juice. There was nothing authentic about this food. My husband had the Al Pastor tacos and liked those. Our server was nice enough when she took our order but she never came to check on us after we got our food. We won’t be coming back, there are much better places to eat. 04/25/2023

Amazing place with an expansive menu for food but NO Alcohol if you’re looking for a margarita. Steak ala Mexicana is a good dish. Puffy tacos are good but eat them first or fast so the middle doesn’t get too soggy.

I was disappointed this second round here! Our rice and beans were semi warm to cold and gorditas were breaking apart! And as for my puffy tacos, they were not puffy! It was more like a gordita taco! Never came to check on us or all of we needed refills on our drinks! To expensive for what we got! Almost $36 not worth it! I might go back but for the tortas only! 3/28/23

Don’t miss this cozy Mexican restaurant in downtown San Antone. It’s clean and comfortable, with tables or booths for seating. This is a hidden gem with the best Mexican food, made with fresh ingredients. The flour tortillas are made fresh and are the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast tacos are $1.99, delicious and filling. Breakfast steak & eggs with refried beans & potatoes, and flour tortillas is only $8.50. Everything I’ve had there is wonderful. Only open for breakfast and lunch so don’t miss out.

Absolutely delicious $2.15 breakfast tacos on a homemade tortilla. Took them five minutes to make up my to-go order. I’ll be eating breakfast here each day the rest of the week I’m in town. Awesome little spot.

You know these places are good when the chips are fire. Thick and crispy to go with an extra-fresh salsa. Sopas was the highlight for me – I thought it was just the right amount of each ingredient. The bottled sauces have a solid kick to them so don’t go too crazy =]

Old school style Mexican restaurants with large breakfast tacos in homemade tortillas for cheap, only 2.15 each for most. If near the Riverwalk and you’re looking for breakfast tacos this is a choice place I’d recommend. I live in Houston and you don’t find breakfast tacos this large. I came back a second time. Tried barbacoa, bacon and egg, fajita and the veggie Mexicano, all very good. Kids and family all liked them. Both red and green salsa are very good as well.

Went for breakfast here while visiting SA and this place did not disappoint! Got the chilaquiles breakfast tacos, some awesome fresh coffee and juice. My friend got the chorizo breakfast tacos and enjoyed them too! Definitely recommend this place!!
