What a hidden gem! Solid American-Mexican food served in a homey setting that slightly feels like a 70s diner. Really friendly service and the portions are generous! I loved the grilled sea bass plate and the taco salad, which was lightly dressed even without me having to ask! There were plenty of folks there but we were seated right away at 12:30pm on a Friday. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available!

We had a phenomenal lunch here today! The food was excellent and service was exceptional. The lovely waiter brought yummy chips and salsa to the table, and I ordered extra guac which was nicely seasoned. For mains we had a pastor burrito and enchiladas suizas – both came with rice and refried beans, and both were absolutely delicious! Portions were so generous we had to take half home for later! We will absolutely be back, what a great find.

Had a very nice brunch there last Sunday. We were visiting the area, so didn’t see we were coming in at the last minute. The staff was extremely nice and professional. We enjoyed a great meal, and I got to try yet another IPA I’d never heard of.

From the complimentary chips and salsa to the delicious crab enchilada, El Cerrito never skipped a beat, the portions were generous and the food cooked to perfection. Service remained quick and friendly for the duration of our stay. Although, compared to the competition the prices seemed a little steep, ranging from $15-$20 per main dish, personally I’d say it was still worth it though.
