Food was amazing but the customer service was a bit lackluster. Myself and a couple friends I was with commented on the dismissal from our waiter a couple times. Maybe it was because there were only a few waiters throughout the entire restaurant, but still. But the drinks and food were SO delicious!! The portions are HUGE and more than enough for 1 person for a reasonable price

While the food was very good, the rest of our experience was not so much. The temperature inside the restaurant was well over 85°. My wife and I were sweating profusely by the end of the dinner. We asked for a high chair for our son when we were being seated and never received one. When our waiter came to receive our order, we asked again and still did not get a highchair. I finally had to go grab one myself. Our booth seats were collapsed in and very uncomfortable. The table was sticky and had not been cleaned. The good dishes will keep us coming but it will be for take out only from now on.

This is out favorite Mexican restaurant in the Montgomery area. The food is great. It’s our go-to place for out-of-town guests who like authentic Mexican food, too. The menu is extensive and all tasty. In the cooler months, we have the chicken soup with shredded chicken, vegetables, and avocado. It’s real chicken broth, not the kind that comes from a powdered cube. Here are two photos–one of the patio where we dine most of the time. It’s spacious and breezy and in the other picture is a dish of the Mexican guacamole that we order every time.

Everytime I’m in Montgomery, I make it a point to stop by here for some tacos. I’ve been to a few others in the area, and this place has come the closest what tacos tasted like growing up in SoCal and brings back good memories. The avocados are fresh, limes are jucy, and the meats are succulent. The service is fantastic, the tea is sweet but not like you’re sucking on a sugar cube, and chips and salsa are fire! Look forward to next time El Cerrito.
