IYKYK… If not you NEED TO KNOW! Sooooo good! Best Peruvian cuisine in TX and best I’ve ever had! Chef Waldo’s business and family have been deeply impacted by Covid and he needs all the support he can get. Seriously, insanely delicious and fresh cooked food by one of the friendliest and most generous man I know. I’ve been coming here for 14+ years and don’t plan to stop!

This is truly a whole in wall GEM. It’s not pretty or fancy, but if the taste of the food is what matters to you- place this restaurant on your list. The owner/chef is super friendly and will treat you like family. We tried the lomo saltado plate and the chicken lunch buffet plate and both were super moist and packed with flavor!

You are greeted by Chef Waldo when you walk in the door. Chef Waldo is a friendly extroverted guy who loves food. He was a buffet and a menu. The ceviche was great. It is easy to miss this place. I think there are 8-10 tables total. This place is definitely worth a visit.

It was or first time here. We were a little hesitant but glad we decided to go! We meet chef and it was experience. So welcoming so lovely friendly the list goes on. A hole in the wall Gem. The food was excellent I will be back again!

Wadito was a great server and his food is great… would definitely go back and very recommended.. I gave 2 for atmosphere only because of things that could be fixed in the bathroom and restaurant to improve its look. Overall delicious!!!

Food is ok, not truly peruvian and uses cheap ingredients. The place is disgustingly dirty. The owner is nice, but definitely a salesperson. Won’t let you see a menu and will force you to buy multiple items. Will tell you to try his purple drink without asking if you want it then charge you for it later. No one is ever there and he talks to you WAY too much and talks to you a lot while eating without leaving you alone, it’s uncomfortable & annoying. Makes a lot of weird unprofessional jokes as well & will make fun of you. Its in a joking manner, but uncomfortable when you barely know each other. I wouldn’t recommend, but go ahead and try it if you want, its not too expensive, just don’t get sick.

Waldito is as friendly as everyone says and today he took care of us. We didn’t order anything, he just showed us who he was through his cooking. We had his chicken and spicy soup, both delicious. I’ve never had better ceviche in my life, but I’m not a ceviche expert, so take that how you will. He served us his Miami chicken plate with rice, black beans and fried bananas, also fantastic. To top it off, we had his Peruvian fried rice and I’d definitely recommend all of the dishes. Ask for his hot sauce that he makes too, it has such good flavor but isn’t overly spicy, at least to me. Also, his flor de Jamaica was fantastic too. All in all, I highly recommend this place and please bring cash since it’s a cash only type of place. He really is a wonderful person too, he was warm and welcoming, funny and truly a joy to experience.
