Great food and staff checks up on you pretty frequently so we left pretty happy! They give you chips and salsa and I ordered a fajita quesadilla which tasted pretty amazing. The only thing is that it doesn’t give off that mexican vibe like it should, as the music playing isn’t always in Spanish and then the decor is pretty simple/plain.

El Charro is the best Mexican Restaurant in Kentucky!!!!! Super clean and fast service!!! The food is absolutely delicious and waiter Martin is super friendly and attentive!The owner is so nice and always greeting you with a big smile when you come in! The food was great and the prices are very reasonable! I had the chicken fajitas with rice and beans and loved it. I’ve noticed that a lot of Mexican restaurants rice and beans are just an afterthought, but that is definitely not the case here. They both have great flavor, especially the refried beans (You can tell that they are made from scratch). The chips and salsa was also very good. The salsa has a really fresh flavor to it. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The decor is modern, clean, and well lit. The service was great! My server was very friendly and attentive, and the owner introduced herself and checked on me twice. She said that they have only been open in this location for 10 months but said that they have been in business for 10 years with their location on Harrodsburg Rd. You can tell that they really take pride in their restaurant. I recommend giving them a try if you’re in the area.

Had a late lunch here with my family after looking around for somewhere to go we agreed on El Charro! We are glad we gave it a shot!! A little different decor than the usual Mexican food restaurant but very nice…My wife and I had the enchiladas supremas and our son had the kids taco with fruit as a side. The Enchiladas were as expected and well prepared…some of the best we have had around here…and our son enjoyed his tacos…we will return again to try other dishes and maybe some drinks next time!! Very good service and very friendly people…worth a try if your looking for a new place!!

We just left from dinner tonight. I wanted to say how legit this place is. These were probably some of the best steak and chicken fajitas we’ve had in a long time. We do not live in the area so it was by chance that we ate here and so glad we did. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area. Thanks for a great food and service.
