I love this restaurant, and the food is authentic. It doesn’t matter if you want lunch or dinner. You’re gonna receive a plate full of food. Their service is top-notch. It took less than 15 minutes from the time we ordered until we had hot food in front of us. And if you like hot salsa, just ask they have some amazing hot tasting salsas in the back

My 1st time at El Charro’s new location. This was my go-to Mexican in W. Knoxville for years, & I was disappointed to see them move. The new building is very nice — pretty, clean, nice outside patio, bar, & large parking lot (pics of all & the menus). I was in the area for a Dr’s appt. on 9/12/17 & had a late lunch there afterward.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The Chile Colorado was terrible and the service was mid at best. The salsa tasted like it was right out of a jar. When I told them the food wasn’t good they didn’t even attempt to ask what was wrong. I’ll definitely not go back again.

The food is absolutely amazing! The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. Our server was also the bartender so he was very busy and we sometimes had to ask for things more than once. However, since he had to work the bar as well we understood. It didn’t take away from our overall experience though. We had a party of 15 and we got our food quickly. Every single person loved their food. I highly recommend eating there!
