The food is quite good. Spicy and flavorful. I’ve been a couple of times when I’m in this little part of Arcata. The atmosphere is festive. They have a small banquet room for events. The staff is responsive. It’s a bit pricey, but they deliver good value. The refried beans are especially excellent.

Excellent food. Authentic homemade salsas and tortilla shells. Good portions. Service was slow at times, and it took awhile to get my tortilla shells for my fajitas. Plus they only give you 2. Soups and food were flavourful. I would come back again

What a great menu! So many choices. We enjoyed a delicious mole meal and the Huarache. Both perfectly done. Excellent salsa and good chips. The place was really busy (the locals know how good it is!) but had no problem seating us, checking on us and not a long wait for the food. Lively, but not loud. A nice mix of clientele, young folks on dates or hanging out, older folks sharing a good meal. TVs in a corner to keep an eye on the game but not overwhelming. A small but well stocked bar with a good vibe. If you’re traveling, get off 101 and check it out. Great prices, too!

The food was pretty good for the most part and the waiter was quite friendly. I am interning in the area from out of town and thought that this could be an excellent food location during my stay here, until I asked for the check. Tons of groups of people showed up for lunch, and he took time to seat each and every one of them, asked each of them for their orders and even delivered food to each and every one of them while I waited for my card on the table for a good 40 minutes. My waiter continuously did this (even taking backroom breaks) until nearly an hour went by and later spotted me in the back of the room still waiting to submit my payment. I felt very saddened left out by this, as if they forgot about me and figured that they could get higher net tip revenue by sacrificing one customer’s entire experience by fully accommodating every other much larger groups instead.

Just no. The waiter was nice but whoever was managing that night was kind of a jerk to me despite having time to greet and be nice to everyone else he kept getting snappy with me. I often dine solo and how I get treated dining alone tells me everything about a place

First time going, staff was super nice, food came out super quickly, I was excited to see shredded beef on the menu. The quesadilla was super good, and the cake was not too sweet and but a little dense, but still really good. Prices arent bad either.

After a long drive from the San Jose Area, we stumbled upon this gem for some late night eats. There is good outdoor/patio seating with heat lamps. The menu is diverse and the prices are reasonable especially given the portion sizes. The staff was great and very accommodating as we sat near closing time. The food was good and we had a dog with us, so the seating is also dog friendly. I would recommend checking this spot out.
