El Cuervo is one of my favorite family owned Mexican mom and pops. Their carne asada is marinated well with what I believe are hot carrots and pico. The Carne Asada Chimichanga is huge and tastes amazingly juicy, cheesy and delicious. I’ve also had their carne asada sans tortilla so it’s an option if you don’t want the carbs. Also just had the plain carne asada burrito in the past and it’s tasty.

Only been there once, but I enjoyed it. The burrito I got was good, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it… that’s more on me, though – I didn’t 100% understand the cashier when I asked what was in it and I was also a bit too embarrassed to ask if he could repeat himself.

I’ve been eating here for almost 2 decades and the quality has remained consistent. Even though I moved away, this is my first stop when I come back to visit! I daydream about their hot sauce; it’s truly the best I’ve ever had. While the location and physical space are unassuming, you will be amazed by the food. Give them a try!

California burrito was delicious. Excellent meat cuts. Something different than the norm in the Mexican rice seasoning. Clove? Cinnamon? Maybe both? Definitely not for me, but I do recommend the carne asada. It’s definitely a go!.

The “salsa” is ketchup with hot sauce. The chili rellano was stone cold with very small amount of cheese(tasted like velveta cheddar mix) omg that should be a crime! Ceviche was tough pre-cooked shrimp with the same sad ketchup sauce and a couple tiny pieces of onion. Tiny flecks of cilantro but this is very far from real ceviche. Also a tiny portion. The beef soup is very bland with just 3 small pieces of beef. Didn’t come with onions, lime and cilantro like most places serve it. Huge pieces of vegetables so it was hard to eat. I am super disappointed! They included a portion of bland clearly day old dry rubbery rice but no beans to go with it. I’d feel bad about even giving this to a homeless person so in the trash it goes and hungry I still am. You should seriously be ashamed to call this Mexican food. Anyone who eats here I feel sorry for you not knowing what actual authentic good food is.
