Great eats. I have been going here for 20 years. Food is great and made to order. Burrito is filling, nachos are to die for. Tacos are good too.

Would get a higher star if it was in a better location but hey.. Good place for a quick bite. Staff is mostly pleasant, good nachos, good sopes. Nice mix of American and Mexican food. Always good when you can go to a Mexican restaurant and at the same time order some fries for the little one.

I know good food. And damn! This spot was amazing. We got good hot food. Really good filling burrito. Let me tell you about the meat: thick juicy and a good weight. Definetly filled my mouth! My friend kept asking me for some of mine because it was so good

Phenomenal! Good music, nice employees, and food is always on point! The owner is always in the front talking to customers which is really nice to see. I get four tacos of each kind, and their servings are filling. Horchata is where it’s at and the $1.49 taco days are awesome!

I have catered from them for years and we just catered for my husbands 30th birthday and all i can say is i am so disappointed. We did the math for about 22 adults so we rounded it to 25 people. When we have catered before we would get generous portions of food. We would get everything like sour cream and cheese and tomatoes and even the plates n napkins and forks. We recieved half a tray of chicken not even full ans half a tray of steak. No sour cream. The tray of guacamole weighed more than the tray of fajitas. Horrible. We had to order 4 pizzas to feed our crowd which ended up being only about 15 adults. There was no food left and we barey made it to feed the adults. Luckily the kids had pizza which there was only like 5 yound kids under 10. I called when i recieved the food and Benny the owner claimed that he measured. I asked him did they half the portions because we have ordered before and always have lots of food left over. Plus ontop of it our food was not ready by the time we agreed. Ridiculous. ‘No type of refund or anything was offered. I left another message for the owner because i was completely ripped off!! Have not had a call back. We will never be catering from here nor i will be referring this place.

Ten years ago (or so) I spent a lot of time in Summit and ate a lot of burritos here and across the street. In those days, I couldn’t tell the difference in the food. This week, there was a BIG difference. I ordered my usual steak burrito. The burrito at El Famous had a lot of lettuce and a lot of beans. There was barely a trace of meat in it. The next day I went to the other place across the street and down the block (sorry, don’t remember the name) and THAT burrito was loaded with meat – like in the old days they were at El Famous.

This is the place to go! I love this place, I’ve been coming here for years with my family. They have never disappointed me, their taste has satisfied me everytime. I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE! It’s not like any other typical Mexican restaurant. I mean, you do feel like you have entered a traditional Mexican restaurant except less loud music and more bilingual workers. Their different variety of music brings a good vibe, they play a little bit of reggae, salsa, cuban, classic rock, to jazz, and current hits. THEIR FOOD IS THE BEST! You can tell it’s fresh. It’s not like your eating a taco drenched in grease like El faro. I really suggest you order the quesadilla de maza (the chicken kind), enchilada dinner, beef nachos, chicken sope with sour cream, taco salad, or fish torta or fish taco. Honestly they have a huge menu and everything is delish but the quesadilla de maza is my number one choice!
