Wow. Went for lunch. Great prices, but even better, great food. Had no clue what we were getting into, as we stopped off while looking for food on way back from a trip. My wife has fish fillet and I had steak. Good size sides, that were ready, too. Son and his wife live in Miami, and I immediately told them they need going there.

They charge $10 cash only cover fee for the entertainment. Plus I spent $100 on just two plates and bucket of Tona beer. The food was decent. However the experience was horrible. They rush us off our table before we could even finish our drinks. Security came and gave us the option of we had to order more drinks or we had to go. We were escorted out. They alluded that the cover fee would allow us to stay till closing. That clearing was a lie.

I’m reviewing the organization of the live event that happened 08/13. I reserved a table online and also bought tickets to see the band that was playing. My reservation was invalid when I got to the door. We were told we had to pay $100 PER PERSON additionally from what we had already gotten charged online for the entrance. This was a “live performance” fee that they don’t make anyone aware of. If you want a single glass of champagne, you’re out of luck because they don’t give you the option. They only have the whole bottle which ranges from $125+. This place is way too pricey with hidden fees.

This place is BIG and well set different decor good ambiance great service this time I only tasted La Picada and the Tostones con queso frito…..the wings in la Picasa were HOT the carne asada didn’t feel like carne asada more like bistec….liked the tostones, yuca frita and pig. The salad with the boiled yuca was nice and crunchy and the yuca was soft can’t go wrong with maduros as is cut or unbag and fry. But the frijoles (beans) were not the Nicaraguan flavor I am accostumed…..tasted more like canned frijoles. Now the music Looooved the set up of the TV but the music is a tad too loud for the place when you have the bass crackling at the end its tome to lower the volume music is to be enjoyed not to hurt your ears. Besides in a restaurant having dinner with family talking is always a thing…..Now to finish I am wondering how and who will clean the forest in the walls and ceilings….over all will be back to taste the rest of the food and give you an update…..

We have been at Guacalitos a couple of times and it has always been great. Two of the times we celebrated birthdays And we’ve had a blast. This last time we celebrated my mothers birthday and she was very pleased with everything. They had karaoke which was very entertaining along with the live music. Yeah the music is loud but its great entertainment and it makes you want to dance. The food came out fast and it was delicious it had good flavor. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive. If you want to be entertained come see for yourself I recommend this place.

Came on a Monday night an hour before they closed, it was pretty empty. That being said, our server, Alan was amazing! Food was great and the music created a cool vibe. I’m definitely coming back on the weekend when there’s live music.
