I never had Ecuadorian food before, so there is no way for me to judge it’s authenticity. I can say that I enjoyed the meal very much. I ordered online and it arrived in less than 40 minutes. I ordered the Chaulafan Especial. It was a very large portion of seasoned meat, rice, and plantains. I would recommend it. Very happy to have this unique restaurant in the local area.

Got carry out there with a friend yesterday. Very good. They were out of empanadas and I can’t tell you what we had instead but it was good. The chicken with yellow rice was especially good and a very healthy portion of the grilled chicken.

Excellent authentic cuisine from Ecuador. The flavors are coastal like from Guayquil and the plantain dishes are superb. Small dining area with wonderful music from the past. Plan on about $25 per person. The Quaker is our favorite drink. Super friendly owners and worth the trip.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I’m doing it to even remind myself not to eat their food again. You cannot say authentic Ecuadorian food but other than the dishes named there was nothing authentic.I ordered take out and got 2 plantain empanadas, salchipapas and bolon de chicharron.

Over all flavors are all there, have not have this authentic in a real long time, comes from a born and raised Guayaco, this place is good, drove almost an hour to try out, did not disappoint

This was an excellent find for me. The food was extraordinary and the service was superb. I stumbled upon El Guayas during an exploratory Segway ride through Philly. Top marks…. can’t wait to visit again

This was a nice, friendly, casual restaurant with excellent Ecuadorian food. The meats were top notch: steak, goat and chicken. The plantains were delicious. Everything was well seasoned, well catered, and I look forward to going again.

While the food was good there were 5 men there with the music so loud I couldn’t hear the person 4 inches away. I don’t know if they worked there or what but, it was so rude and obnoxious for a restaurant setting that I would never return. Also, they add a 15% service charge with the bill that adds to the tip.

We had to wait a long time to get our order taken and we were the only one there but the food was delicious! Worth the wait. The portion size is huge so the price is worth it as well.
