Out showing property after church. We split the fajitas and chimichanga. I preferred the fajitas over the chimichangas. They didn’t have my fresh grilled jalapeños that make everything better. Chips and salsa were super! I could drink it. Hubby thought it was a little hot but I thought it was perfect. Nice atmosphere and decorating. Maybe leave more napkins at the table, I go through a few! Lol

I’m a native Texan and love Mexican food. This little business in Cabool, Missouri–not far off the Interstate–is well worth the exit.

If you like your Mexican food with no seasoning this would be the place. Most places bring you more chips and salsa but most of the time I’ve been here, they charge for more salsa without telling you it costs. Pretty tricky since it’s complimentary everywhere else.

Cant review the atmosphere as ive only done take out for lunch but i from southern Arizona and just recently moved here and this is BY FAR the most authentic mexican food ive found here! Rumor has it they are closing for good soon and im really sorry to hear that the food and service have always been excellent and the prices are good too.

Food was good wish they had more vegetarian options but they were kind enough to accommodate us and our food needs. I enjoyed there Baja salsa. Could have a Spicer option. The serving size for the vegetable fajita was small. Chips were good and the guacamole was a little plain. Had a great chat with one of the family members who own the place.

Awesome find. Atmosphere was great. Menu has lots of interesting items. Chips & salsa were way above average, heavy on the garlic, which I don’t mind. I got the pulled pork nachos. Pork was chopped not pulled and the onion was pretty on top but it would have been more edible if it was diced, barbecue sauce was good but barely there. My wife has carne asada tacos which tasted great but the meat was cut too large. Son has enchilada special – nothing special – but he did like the flan.

Stopped in after our trip at Branson. This was so unexpected. The cleanliness of the restaurant. The taste of the food. Portion size. The tortillas are fresh made and fell apart on your fork. Just a cute little hole in the wall place, but with pizazz. So glad we stopped!

This place is terrible not sure how they have such a high rating when literally all their reviews are low stars. *Please DO Not stop here if you are traveling spare yourself the grief and just go to the next town or buy Taco bell. The environment was very sterile and not welcoming at all. They have pictures of family all over however are not family friendly at all. There is no changing table in the restroom and they ignored the fact their was a young child with us. Their kids section on the menu is not very good. The lady at the front wasn’t very friendly. The waitress were dressed like mini chiefs reminded me of the movie ratatouille… I hope they were not taking orders and cooking or worse have rats in the kitchen cooking…They also came in pairs to the table which was off-putting because the main waitress was very rude and the other just stood there and never said anything or introduced herself. They only give you 1 basket and chips and salsa complementary but barely fill the chips half way so you might as well say they only give you half a bowl of chips for free. The food wasn’t hot and the food tasted old like they made it that morning. Also the quesadilla ordered had no char on the outside and was very limp and greasy my lo wouldn’t even eat it. It’s not Texmex or Mexican food it was very bland and overpriced. No wonder half their restaurant was closed with the lights off probably can’t afford the electric bill to turn all the lights on. The queso dip tasted like cheese soup they added salsa to for color. Overall probably the worst experience I have had in Missouri. Chipotle I would consider more Mexican than this restaurant.

We tried this place today for the 1st time . After reading the reviews I was super disappointed . We will definitely not be returning. The food is expensive and was very bland . Our waitress wasn’t very welcoming at all . She took forever for her to take our order . Once she brought our food to the table she never returned. When she finally came back she took our plate and brought our check . We felt very rushed .

First of all, the menu is very limited, especially for a vegan. When we informed our waitress not to include cheese on our food, she seemed shocked and annoyed. We ordered fajitas, which, for 13.00, should have been plentiful – they were not. Also, rice is not included with the fajitas, but is an extra 2.50 for a small side. The food arrived hot, but had no seasoning, whatsoever. The pico, which I can only assume is fresh, lacked any lemon or lime. All you could taste was the onion. Even the cilantro taste didn’t come through. After our food was served, our server completely disappeared. The chalkboard advertised horchata, but they were out. For a place that has been in business since 1975, you would think the food would taste better. There were many diners in the establishment, which amazes me. The decor is varied and dated, which I don’t mind so much, except the booth they put us in was ragged and uncomfortable. We will not be returning.
