I had the jacalito bowl it was a little dry but I put my Pico de Gallo in it and it was better. The cheese dip was delicious and the salsa was good. I would recommend coming here

Overall just average, maybe a little below average. Everyone raves about the chips and salsa, but mine were cold. Food was just average. Steak was a bit too salty. Wait staff was nice and prices were fair. Probably won’t end up coming again, but it wasn’t terrible.

Disappointing experience. I ordered a 3 Al Pastor taco special, but only had two tacos in my bag when I got home. Flavors were average and more mild than I like in tacos. The chips they included were good. The price for the amount of tacos I got is notably higher than other spots in Duplin county. Room for improvement.

I went to this place with my family and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the waitress who was friendly and everyone treated us well, even the owner came to our table to make sure we had the best service. The food was also delicious and the prices were great compared to similar restaurants in the area. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion

I walked in today to order rice and beans to go with fajitas we were cooking at home later. I ordered three orders of rice and three orders of beans… what I received was a half full container of rice and a half full container of beans. Not enough for even two people… last time I visit this establishment; definitely not worth the $18 (plus tip) that I paid.

Nasty! Food tasted rotten, waste of money and time and horrible service! When I tempted to call and get a refund, the girls on the phone laughed and smirked at me. I then asked to speak to the manager or owner, they then said I’m the boss which I do not believe and hung up on me! Also were very rude when we were their waiting on our food! The girls on the phone also said “we don’t do refunds thats not how things work around here”, and that management would not be back until March 15th, not sure they were telling the truth or not, but they absolutely refused to let me speak to management. What a shame how rude and careless businesses are today, specifically this one! Is it too much to ask for a refund for bad food and service? I don’t think so…

It’s very rare to find a place that serves authentic handmade tortillas, but this place does & they are doing it very well! This little place(Jacalito) is simply delicious, The food is always fresh & very tasteful! I rate El JACALITO a 5 star for their delicious food & consistency! I recommend the “Claudia TACOS”, TORTAS, BURRITOS, QUESADILLAS, SOPES, SUEGRAS, & BACON WRAP HOTDOGS!! They also serve some traditional Mexican dishes(fajitas, chicken taquitos, carnitas, carne Asada plate, etc.) Menudo y Caldo de Res on the weekends!
