Food was food. Easy to order. Ordered a pulled pork burrito and super nachos. The burrito was good, it didn’t stand out as far as taste or size. The Super Nachos with pork, lettuce, and queso was kinda cold. It’s a convenient place to eat in that area especially for Emerson students. They open late.

This is a great little spot if you’re craving some quick, reasonably priced Mexican food. We always get the super nachos and a chorizo burrito. The chorizo is sliced (not ground) which is unique and tasty. Guac comes at no extra charge, and they’re open late! The Harvard location is just as good.

I’ve been going here for three years when their only location was Harvard Square. Although I like both, the downtown location is my favorite. The food is always flavorful, cooked with love, and they make the plantains perfectly each time. Also, the employees and managers are the nicest people around. If I could hug everyone behind the counter, I literally would. Coming from someone who is super critical of food, I highly recommend El Jefe’s for amazing Mexican food!

Superb Mexican food and service. Sour cream and guacamole can be added to your bowl at no extra charge. The Horchata and Jamaica drinks are good. The queue moves fast and the employees are helpful. Try the churros.
