This is a smaller El Jefe’s but there still seemed to be a decent amount of seating. The music was blasting the afternoon I visited. The best part of all El Jefe’s is the respect for authentic sauce options available.

Not the best tacos I’ve ever had but they are loaded, rich and tasty! I love their pickled onions on top of carne asada with a drizzle of spicy mayo, yum! Get yourself some delicious orchata while you’re there. A few things that I found problematic were: (1) the servers did not listen to me at all making it difficult to order. I made two orders of the same 3 tacos and it took forever to make it clear what I wanted; in the end, I didn’t get the toppings I wanted, oh well, and (2) the tacos were cold. I’ve gone there twice and had a similar experience both times.

Well first off, they only seem to run efficiently when it’s daylight. So from opening till 9pm. Might as well start closing at 10:30 pm and stop order at 9:30 pm because my order was placed at 10 pm and you’re telling me you’re so tired to the point you mix up 2 complete different orders???? That’s crazy to me. Ion do these reviews but the fact I use to adore this place and tell my friends to eat here is what’s making me annoyed. . . This is the 3rd slip up. DoorDash won’t refund me. I’m calling El jefe phone line no response. . . But it is open till 2am ???? Yeah aight. Next, how do you go and proof read the receipt that has a vegetarian burrito and one meal that was a chicken quesadilla . . . I get my order and it’s this mexican bowl. . . Poor guy who got my order. He probably didn’t want what I wanted either. But I guess he’s fed now. I’m not eating this as idk what kind of pork that is. I gave it away. I need my refund or a store credit TODAYYYY.

Gave it a single star just due to the fact that it’s open later than anything else in the area. By far the worst tacos I’ve ever had in recent memory. I was fine waiting in line for 45 minutes but the food did not do it justice one bit. So many red flags from the start: I was asked if I wanted beans and rice in my tacos, and after I chose the meat, it was just taken from the burrito filling station. Meat flavor just was so absurdly off and it was all so tough as well. The onion chunks were so oddly large too. Salsa was off— couldn’t get myself to have more than a bite or two of each taco. The disappointment was unreal. I can see what it’s a go-to spot for late night cravings and drunk food but steer clear of their tacos. Ironic given their name.

My friend recommended this spot to me she swears by there burritos! So I came by 12/11/22 for the first time ever! I ordered the Burrito carnitas (Pork) Mexican Rice Black Beans, cheese and Pico de Galo (mild) with Sour Cream. Double Portion of pork. Also got the drink called Horchata it was good it was semi sweet. The burrito was so so good the pork was tender well seasoned and not overcooked, the rice was fluffy not hard the beans where delicious sour cream well proportioned with the pico de galo very very good! I will order again! The staff where friendly and welcoming the restaurant was clean and had space to eat inside if you wanted to. The staff that prepare your food in front of you know what they are doing and seem like they enjoy serving the customers!
