Loved their flavors and salsas! The Chile rellenos was awesome as was their Mexican Rice! We also ordered the pollo enchiladas, some with red sauce and some with green- Both were good! I personally prefer enchiladas that have the meat and cheese- these come worth meat only. They serve Modelo dark beer which is really good and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back. Enchiladas came with a nice cheesy salad on top which was good!

The food is hit or miss on flavor. When it’s on point, it’s killer, but sometimes the salt levels are off. My wife’s plate was lukewarm. Parts of my combo plate were different temps. The tamale was well seasoned but fell apart when I unwrapped it and the meat was dry. The Chile relleno was good. You seat yourself, order at the register, and pay your bill at the register. They do bring the food to your table, but they don’t come by and ask if you want to order anything else. Beans were decent but loose, rice was OK. Good Horchata. Table salsa is spicy (and not free, no free chips). Guacamole is avo mixed with pico.

Menu pictures posted on Google were very out of date. Prices went up about 30% in 3 years. Staff said they were aware, but attempts to update were unsuccessful. Hopefully Google uses the current pics I posted. A purchase of 2 burrito meals (meal is with added beans and rice on side), bag of chips and large green salsa was over $50. Food was good but salsa was too hot to eat.

My wife’s food was good. My burrito was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. We basically had to wait on ourselves. The girl at the front had the personality of a gnat. Totally flat affect. Didn’t care if we enjoyed our food or not. We were the third customers upon opening and they had no guacamole. Their hours are crazy erratic. We have checked Google and saw they were open to get there and they are closed. We gave it our last try.

Great Mexican food with Mexican music in the background. The soft taco carnitas was muy delicioso.

The guacamole is so good!!!! However that’s the only positive. The salsa is so spicy it made me cry. The wait time for our food was nearly an hour and it was only moderately busy so there wasn’t really any excuse for that wait time. They also have no queso of any kind. But its authentic Mexican food in Hawaii so I guess it is what it is.

Makes taco bell 5 star. Maguey was terrible and should be reported to health dept. Food was horrid. Service was kids shopping food on a plate. Atmosphere, well didn’t have any. Strip Mall Location. DONT GO !!

Excellent service, cleanliness and food. The young woman waiting on us was very courteous and attentive. The food was more than we had anticipated, one of the combo plates was enough for two, my 3 taco combo had enough fillings for 6 tacos.

Very disappointing. We waited over an hour for our food. Some of the worst Mexican food we’ve had. They ran out of rice and beans!! Had to ask for water refills. Overcharged and no effort made to correct this. Ran out of jalapeños and substituted pickles!! What a disaster!!

The food wasn’t the best but I wouldn’t leave a one star for that (I wouldn’t make a big deal out of that), HOWEVER, A ROCK IN MY RICE? I spit it out when I hurt my teeth on it and thought it HAD to be some type of meat or something that fell in, but no, a ROCK. I just can’t imagine if someone with a baby fed them an accidental rock in a spoonful or rice! Or I hadn’t been lucky to detect it before I broke a tooth! I can’t imagine how someone would feel if they had just gotten new braces! This is not only a HEALTH HAZARD and makes me question how clean things are in the kitchen, but is DANGEROUS. No one should be getting surprise rocks in their food
