I couldn’t leave Tampa without ar least trying some Salvi food and El Manjar is not disappoint. We had pupusas revueltas and some of loroco and I could not stop saying “THIS IS SO GOOD!” or licking my fingers. We also had empanadas de platano and they are FIRE! The outside looks a little sketch but some of the best places to eat look like that so do not let that stop you from feasting here! The inside is clean and the service is polite and prompt. I can’t wait to come back to Tampa to eat a few more pupusas! Muchas Gracias!!!

I love supporting mom and pop shops! The food was good. The service was ok as the place only had one server/waiter/cashier. The place is very small inside and needs a little love/ makeover. The prices are a bit high for a place that is run down, but i know they have stay afloat.

My boyfriend and I decided to come try this place after being recommended and it did NOT disappoint! My family is Salvadorean and I can say that this is authentic, delicious food. The place is a little hole in the wall and it feels homey. The space is small and the wait can be a bit long but believe me, is WORTH IT. We ordered pupusas revueltas y de frijol con curtido y salsa, yuca frita con chicharrón, and empanadas de plátano. Everything was MIGHTY DELICIOUS! Our server was Yumi (I’m not sure if I’m spelling her name right) and she offered exceptional service despite the fact that she was the only server and it was very busy. We are definitely coming back because we had a nice experience, really enjoyed everything we ate and can’t wait to try other foods in the menu, and of course, eat more pupusas!

If you want to try Salvadorian food, this place is authentic. It’s a small building but the food is huge on flavor and freshly prepared.

So delicious! I drive over an hour to eat at El Manjar. It’s authentic Salvadorian food and vibe inside. Just like eating at Abuelita’s house ♥️

I love the food, but the service and wait time is awful. It needs better management throughout. The last time I went we waited over an hour for pupusas, yet we saw multiple people coming in and dining in with their food ready way faster than ours. My immediate guess is that they ordered over the phone and eat at the restaurant which it shouldn’t be allowed when others been waiting there all along. Also, I’ve called to order food to go, and It takes forever for them to answer IF they even answer.

Called to place and order. Asked what was in the Desayuno and they said “hold on” and I was left on hold for over 10 minutes and no one ever came back. When I called again they kept declining the call.

Hole in the wall. Great food, prices, and service. I love the pupusas and tamales. They also sell knick knacks from El Salvador, homemade creme, etc.
