The salsa was a little thick and separated like it had been previously frozen. The chips were both served hot/fresh yet somehow stale (???). The food is so good though. Chicken burrito was stuffed full, crunchy beef taco was awesome. The enchiladas have the standard red sauce then they added what tasted like the white cheese sauce which is different. We would have preferred real melted cheeses rather than the shortcut. The service was friendly and fast. Overall, a solid 4 stars.

This place isn’t going to make it with the way these people behave. Very disappointing. Gave them several chances. They try to rip u off, they’re RUDE AS CAN BE, they whisper and snicker while looking at you as if u don’t belong there. Their burritos are good, but they don’t want to cook, they want to give u what they have already pre-made and if u ask for anything differently, they’ll charge u some outrageous price to make u change your mind. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, cold, and everyone has an attitude (its a handful of high school kids running it). I’ve heard them make racist comments, but they don’t think anyone else knows Spanish. It’s awful. The only reason we’ve returned is bc they’re the only place nearby w burritos.. not worth it.

We walked in and it felt authentic with Spanish music and vibrant colored tables and a happy and proficient wait staff. The food was fantastic and served quickly. The horchata was extra sweet. The only thing I would have changed was that horrible country music that started right after the one good Spanish song. It’s definitely a place to go if you’re looking for a good hot meal, friendly service, and a clean atmosphere.

I have been a LOYAL, REGULAR Customer since the day they opened, until TONIGHT!!!! They DO NOT return the LOYALTY, unfortunately. (I have a LARGE family of “8” who eats in & takes out food at least 4-5 times per week, & have recommended MANY others to eat there!!!!!) They Should NOT claim to be open until 10pm, if they’re gonna CLOSE & start CLEANING the kitchen before that time!!!! Tonight makes TWICE, now, they’ve refused me service @ 9:45pm for Carry out, when they claim to be open until 10pm. Obviously they’re not LOYAL to Loyal Regular Customers, or they don’t want the business or money that’s spent here!!! So, I will be taking my family’s money & business elsewhere!!!! Don’t think you matter to El Mariachi because you DO NOT, & I’ve worked with the public & in Restaurants ALL my life, & that’s just “BAD BUSINESS” or No “INTEGRITY” to treat REGULAR customers that way!!!! We were working in area and stopped here. Was greeted with smiles as we came through the door. Seated quickly and friendly. Ordered a drink from the bar which was absolutely delicious and the food was amazing. We will be back and will bring friends to try this restaurant out.

Good, not to spicy, but you can add some heat. Carnitas, Carne Asada & pollo have all been good thus far. Staff bust a jump to serve you quickly, prices very reasonable.

It is about time Burgaw got a descent mexican restaurant! I have been here at least 5 times now and the result is the same every time. The chimichanga, queso birria, burrito, margaritas all fantastic! The service is always fast and polite. We’ll done. We’ll done!
