First time going there. So many places in hammonton it was the last one we went to. Live music on Sunday, family was singing along and the food was great and the staff was darn attentive that I had to give them a 5 star review.

I stopped here one day for lunch since I was in the area. I haven’t had good Mexican food in a while. El mariachi didn’t disappoint. I waited about 10-15 min for my order which felt long since I was the only one there at the time but it was worth the wait. The servings were plentiful and very tasty. The decorations, atmosphere, colorful wood carvings (not prints) and music kept me entertained. It reminded me of Encanto. I’ll have to try to bring the family here sometime as they offer kids meals as well.

I LOVED this place’s ascetic! It was so well decorated with such great attention to detail. It’s too bad that the food wasn’t as up to par. I had the Tacos de Birria and it was just okay…definitely lacking the flavor I love in Birria tacos. I went for my mother’s birthday though and she loved her dish though and said it was full of flavor (Camarones al Ajillo). I’ve also had takeout from here and it was just okay. Overall, I think I’d try other Mexican places in the area before giving this place another try.

Great Cinco De Mayo! Food was excellent very delicious! The atmosphere was electric! The only issue I encountered was it extremely busy and staff was overwhelmed and whoever took reservations should be fired to taught how to schedule reservations!!! The staff was definitely overwhelmed and it showed by getting my order wrong and the owner could only say sorry? Didn’t even offer to remake our meals or even offer dessert to try and offset the mistakes!!! Cudos to staff for handling the situation the best they could! I left my server 25% tip anyway!!!! Thanks to everyone but the owner for a great night out with my wife!!!!

The Birria tacos were bland and they did not give consommé. The queso was a solid block of shredded cheese even right after I heated it up. See picture, the plate is completely on its side and the cheese didn’t move, that’s not queso. The carne tacos were okay but the rice was overcooked and the beans were cold. So disappointing. The fact that there was only one couple there at a table on a Friday night should have been the first red flag.

We loved the restaurant. Walking into this Mexican restaurant blew me away, I loved all the decor, very vibrant and authentic and probably most importantly very clean. The staff is extremely efficient. By the time we were opening our menus the chips and salsa was already being placed down on the table. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. One of our favorite stops from here on out whenever we are down in the area.

We were in the area and decided we’d give it a try. The atmosphere was beautiful. The service was fast (we went at 5 and finished by 5:40 on a Monday). Food was good for texmex style. It wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad. I was only disappointed that we were charged for water. We didn’t ask for bottle water but that’s what they gave us and charged us for it. So if you go.. don’t get bottled or you’ll be paying for it.

Just discovered this hidden gem by mistake yesterday and came back today too. The food is very delicious and reasonably priced. I loved the decorations and the fountain in the dining area, nice touch. If you want authentic Mexican food…this is the place!!
