So tonight was the first night I’ve eaten at El Mariachi and I gotta say I wish I’d come sooner. We ordered 2 different fajitas, got a fresh guacamole (Which truly blew me away, easily the best fresh guac in Evansville. Period.) And I had a line margarita and we only paid $42 for the entire meal.

Food was great. Different from a lot of other “Mexican” eateries. More authentic in my opinion. I had the monster Burrito. Could feed 3 people or 4 with that thing. Was quite good. Grandson had chicken tenders and fries. Nothing special. Daughter said hers was very good, chicken Chimichanga. Has a bar in the back by the bathrooms. I think I would go back

When I walked in, I immediately loved the atmosphere! And the food was delicious! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the salsa. It was to much of a tomato taste and not enough spice for me. But, gosh! The food was GREAT!

our waiter was a very sweet young guy. it took him a little to bring things out but he was also waiting on multiple other tables by himself and he said it was his first day. the food however gave 2 out of the 6 people in my party food poisoning. we were the only two to eat salsa and both ended up getting very sick later that night with what was very obviously food poisoning and so i called the restaurant to nicely let them know that we had gotten sick from what i assume was the salsa and a lady got on the phone and was very rude and dismissive of the whole thing so i definitely won’t be eating there again.

So, they were really, really nice. They did get my order wrong, twice. I asked for ground beef tacos- soft. I got chicken. I asked for a chalupa- what I got was not a chalupa. However, they were really nice – and it was good. Just not what I ordered. Will go back again.

First time visiting and wow was the food delicious! The service was outstanding and although it was near empty when I had a late lunch, the atmosphere was comfy and inviting! There will be a live Mariachi band on May 17th, and they will also start doing karaoke and have other entertainment lined up. This place is under new management and I highly recommend eating there! They have vegetarian options and a kids menu as well as an American menu.
