Our Chef Moises Hurtado graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Gastronomy, from one of Guadalajaras’ most Respected University. After graduating he moved to Napa, CA and has worked at some of Napa Valley’s Michelin Star Award winning restaurants. In February of 2020 he opened up his first mobile eatery El Matador in Napa. In 2021 Chef Moises reopened El Matador on Twin Falls, Idaho where we serve authentic and traditional Mexican slow cooked dishes know in Mexico as Guisados. At El Matador we pride ourselves in using Locally sourced organic ingredients and grow much of our own home grown produce. Our 5in. Corn tortillas are gluten free and made fresh by hand daily. Come by and try the most authentic gourmet Mexican food in town!

Absolutely one of the best taco places I’ve been too, everything is delicious! Everything is cooked extremely fresh and tastes super authentic. All there ingredients are locally sourced and super fresh. If you like refried beans then I’d definitely recommend checking this place out! Convenient to get to right on Soscol Ave before the train tracks heading north. I had a beef burrito there was so much flavor in the mole it had me wanting to go back for another.
