Amazing people! Consistently good food. By far the best food around. Ask for a skinny margarita with Don Julio.

This is an amazing local Mexican Restaurant. The food and service is outstanding. Every aspect of the meal was exceptional. The chips and salsa had incredible flavor, we ordered Queso to accompany the chips and salsa, it had very rich flavor. All the entrees were top-notch and the staff met all of our dinning needs, for our large party of 9 guests.

My Husband and I were out antiquing in the adjoining towns yesterday and stopped in and had the best tacos either one of us have ever had. I’m from Texas so I’ve tried many tacos. I was WOWED! The salsa was amazing as well. Yum yum

I ordered seafood enchildas, took couple bites, no seafood, it was good….but as soon as I got to shrimp and scallops…they were RAW! Didnt eat any of the rest….acted like they couldn’t understand me and did NOTHING about my dish, paid for a dish that wasn’t edible. Were only 2 waitresses with several tables, plates sat in front of us until we got up and left the tables. Other things that were ordered were good and fully cooked. This was early afternoon on a friday.

We have driven by many times and it was always crowded at lunch/dinner times. We tried it. We were so happy we did. Growing up with REAL Mexican food available, we’re sort of experienced with the flavors.. We were NOT disappointed! The food was AMAZING! So was the service! We were there Thursday afternoon. We will make the drive to go again! Cant wait!

Poor service. After our order was received, that was the last time we saw him. Never ask to refill drinks or chips. We were there at a time they were not busy. First and last time to visit.

Heaven is a place on earth and it’s right here in Marionville Missouri. Whenever I’ve had a bad day, I just pop on down to El Maya and have a frozen margerita with the most delicious birria I’ve ever had in my life. My favorite place. Definitely the best Mexican food in the entire Midwest.

Fantastic food! Wonderful service! We absolutely LOVE small towns with locally owned restaurants (Mom & Pop shops), or big towns with the same type of places to eat. They have the Best food combined with authentically friendly service. You can usually tell the difference between “paid-friendly service” and authentic friendly service, the latter is because it’s part of their character & they are genuine. I also liked this place because one of the servers threw a bit of clean humor into it. Definitely will make a return visit.
