New to the area but I saw that Mrs. Young (my sister) had given it an excellent review so I thought we’d give it a try. We (party of 4) arrived around 8:30 and were quickly seated. The waiter was very attentive, polite and patient. The decor could use a little remodeling but the food, service and portions made up for that. About 9:10 another party of 4 arrived and I noticed that they were welcomed just as warmly as we were (they close at 10). That’s service you don’t always see. Definitely would recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

First time trying. I got the Taco Grande with chicken. OMG, that thing was as good as it was big. I got it to go and they didn’t put any napkins or forks so eating it was challenging. You gonna need both!

El Mexicano is always a great place to eat. The staff are super friendly and passionate about the service they provide. My food has always been delicious with good sized portions. The restaurant is also a great place for birthday celebrations. Do yourself a favor and go!

Even in the middle of a power outage the waiter offer us both the toco salad. I had ordered one and daughter was fine with it. They were made with high quality veggies and bowl was too good.(very light) Service continued to be great and power was back on just as we finished. Daughter likes hot salsa but had to tone down a bit with mild. She still would order the hot.

My kids liked it but the food tasted subpar. The chicken had chewy pieces, like gristle and the chorizo tasted like it was expired, had a sour taste. The chips were not fresh. But the salsa was spicy. The sweet tea was good and they have fresh lemon slices. The waiter was attentive and friendly.
