I was passing through and stopped here because I can usually find something vegetarian at a Mexican restaurant. My veggie dish was good but there was ground beef in the last couple of bites of my chili rellano. The interior was clean and had decent decor, but what is a Mexican restaurant without any Mexican music????

El Mexicano in LaPlace is the best Mexican restaurant ever! This is about as authentic as it gets! I’ve been going there for so many years, I lost count! When I walk in, they know where I want to sit and what I’ll have to eat and drink! It’s family owned and they are the nicest people! I could eat there every day!

I love this place. One of my favorites is The Chicken Chimichanga with Extra Cheese with onions and bell peppers added. Also the nachos are great as well. I have a family of 4 and we usually spend around $40-$45 for entrees, drinks, and nachos. The service is great! Food is always hot & Fresh!

The best Mexican food i have had, and trust me I’ve had lots. They are quick and we go all the time so they know exactly what I want. Cheese dip is so delicious. And for the picky eaters like me out there, like me, the cheese in the quesadillas is only white. Fried ice cream is great too
