I’ve worked nearby for two and a half years now, ordering one to three times a week, and only been slightly disappointed one time (there was a thigh bone in my chicken pastor). That being said, El Milagro is easily the most authentic, reasonably priced, and courteous Mexican restaurant in Grass Valley. If you are a connoisseur of Mexican foods do not miss out on this one!

Best Mexican in Nevada County but- twice now I have received wrong order. A beef enchilada is not the same as a beef taco. Please ask servers to repeat back order so they don’t get it wrong. Want to continue to choose your restaurant if you can please fix problem with orders.

I really wanted to give them 5 stars. But I am usually very critical of Mexican food and some might even say have high standards 🙂 I’m used to Bay Area Mexican food standards so I guess I’m spoiled. I ordered a carne asada burrito. It was very moist which I liked. But the seasoning on the meat did not impress me. Overall a mediocre burrito.

If you’re from anywhere close to the border, you may not be as impressed, but this far from the border, it’s tasty and acceptable. Prices are decent compared to other local Mexican restaurants. Chips and salsa and beans are a great appetizer.

This is our favorite sit-down Mexican food I’m Grass Valley. BUT, the service needs attention. While the food is delicious, we know we have to commit to a full hour (at least) for dinner service. On our last visit our waiter was literally running and working his hardest. The support staff who fills up waters and chips seemed like she would’ve rather been anywhere but there. I really wish they would hire at least one more server to handle their busy times.

I am disabled and the chairs aren’t comfortable for my back issues. The staff was okay, really busy. The shrimp fajita’s would be better if they cut the shrimp tails off. I don’t like working on my food before I could eat it. The cost for dinner is expensive.

Best food ever! We were looking for a sit down Mexican restaurant and saw they had a 5′-star rating. The rating was spot on. Besides my combo plate, which was fantastic, my wife’s chiil verde was AMAZING. We are from Southern California and we wish we had a Mexican restaurant this good in our area. We will definitely eat here when we visit again.
