AMAZING! Chef’s choice buffet for our business farewell dinner for about 85 people was outstanding. The atmosphere is stunningly beautiful, and the chef’s choice of the entire menu was simply the best food we had all week.

We ordered the guacamole & steak quesadilla as appetizers, and hubby had the steak enchilada, and I had the seafood enchilada. Mine was a little spicy. The black beans were really good. We shared both apps and were so full we could barely eat our main course. Our waiter, Angel was really good at waiting on us. The atmosphere was beautiful.

I was disappointed in this restaurant. The food is very gourmet and not traditional Mexican food. The outdoor setting is really nice and I can understand why the restaurant is rented out for special occasions. Our waiter was very nice and wanted to make sure everything was OK. If you like gourmet Mexican food you will enjoy this restaurant.

This once-great Santa Barbara legend is, sadly, on its deathbed, now dated and mostly forgotten. We were almost the only guests last night in the spacious dining room.

Went here for a wedding. It’s a stunning venue. The appetizers were good. The main course wasn’t so appealing. The dessert was yummy. The wait staff are very attentive. If you leave your plate or cup for a second It’s picked up and gone. We had our waters removed multiple times… but I can appreciate their efficiency. Did not eat in the regular restaurant. I attended a catered wedding at this venue.

The set up was nice – cute courtyard with lots of plants and lighting. Food was just ok. I had the fajitas which were flavorful but oily. The waitresses seemed over booked.. they forgot our guacamole and drinks showed up late. Our good showed up cold and had to be sent back.

The guacamole was good, but no tableside prep as they used to do. The rice and beans were clearly packaged and unappetizing, and the Carne asada tacos were decent, but the meat was tough and dry. It was a Sunday evening at 6:30, and there were only two other tables during our visit. The service was okay, but they acted inconvenienced by our presence. Pretry pricey for subpar Mexican and average service. Overall, seems like they’re going downhill. Not a great experience.

Our daughter wanted a Santa Barbara wedding so we started to looking for ceremony and reception venues. We visited locations from the beach to golf courses looking for the perfect spot. Upon meeting Troy and seeing El Paseo for the first time, my daughter new she had found the perfect spot.

The atmosphere is one of the best in Santa Barbara. Service was amazing! We went for taco Tuesday and the all you can eat concept is great, I just think the food could taste a little better. I wish there were more bean options (only black beans are offered), and the rice could be better. But overall it’s a great experience and fun meal.
