They make your food right in front of you! And it’s got flavor! It took me about a hour to get home and my burrito was still warm enough to eat without reheating it. Also there’s a nice size dinning area. I’m not sure but I didn’t see a fountain drink station. But they have plenty of bottle pop to choose from.

Well, I was taken there by a co- worker who asked me if, I ever had REAL MEXICAN FOOD?? I told him yes TACO BELL. He laughed and said , Let me show you REAL MEXICAN FOOD and took me there for lunch. I tried, Garditas w/ green hot sauce.And that was back in 1999, and I,ve been hooked ever since!! They also have excellent pastries, cakes and cookies!!!

What happened to the food? The bakery is good, but the tamales are huge and mainly masa, hard masa tough meat. I use to love this place. The salsa table is not kept clean. Menudo not ready on Saturday mornings at 10. No more for me. So sad. Too many other Mexican restaurants on Independence ave.

I’ve only ever had the menudo there and would 10/10 recommend. It isn’t spicy but you can add their red chile sauce to spice it up.
