I brought 3 friends there 3 days ago as I have done do many times in the past 15 years. Just now checking my receipt and I’m quite shocked to see $9.75 for the water thar we ordered. We just wantedI water as the usual offering in all restaurants but we were given these ordinary, nothing special bottles which we never ordered. I never imagined we would be charged about 10 $ for them so I never took it up with the server or the manager. My friends and I will never go there again.

We’ve been here 3 times when visiting DC area. The last 2 times it took over 30 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was half empty and there were multiple servers available chatting behind the bar. We were seen by multiple people and ignored. When we finally sat down many items were unavailable in the menu even though it was fairly early. We were served the appetizer after 20 minutes of being seated with a salty platter and no water or drinks. I had to ask the server for water 3 times. The chivito didn’t come with all the ingredients it should and it didn’t taste freshly done. My daughter’s Milanesa was dry. They didn’t have half the sides. The server didn’t show up for the rest of the night to refill drinks etc and we had to ask a separate server for the bill. The food is good but the service is so awful we sadly won’t be coming back. Very disappointed.

Very solid Argentinian place with lots of meat at a cheap price. I recommend the Parilla Para dos. There is a ton of meat and a few generous portions of blood sausage. Definitely a great place to eat steak at a price that is well below that of a steakhouse.

The waiting staff has an attitude / rude with no people skills and the service is horrendous. I have taken my family here several times with hopes of a better experience only to be let down and embarrassed. I had to wait for a table for over a half hour when two-thirds of the tables were available. The food is ok if you get what you ask for. My wife’s order had been completely forgotten about when others dishes were served which was disappointing. I had to let her eat from my dish while she waited for her own dish. Also, items from my dish had to be substituted with other items because of the fact that they had ran out of certain foods. I had to request three times for my water to be served and only to never have it refilled. So many servers behind the bar that never provide service. At this point I was so upset I could not wait to leave this place. I had to ask a different server to get the bill. Gladly, I will not be returning. You have lost me as a customer along with friends and family. Thumbs down .

I’ve been going to El Patio ever since I was a kid up until now, the service is amazing and the food is even better. I love going to El Patio whenever I have a chance because the waitress and the hostess are very generous and respectful. Me as a black individual I find this restaurant very respectful to my community and therefore I will always choose to come to El Patio. El Patio Is definitely a restaurant I would recommend to try out for people who like trying new things, the empanadas are amazing there and I definitely recommend that as an appetizer!

Terrible place! Last Saturday me and my husband went there we were seated and waited more than 10 minutes and no one came to greet or take our order. So we just left and saw at least 4 servers behind the bar. We used to eat here a few years ago and it used to be great. I’m writing this review because I’m very disappointed how this restaurant has turn out.

We ordered the pollo saltado, 2 chicken empanadas, charcuterie (meat & cheese board for 2), & the grilled tilapia with yucca fries & veggie skewers. The charcuterie & empanadas were delicious, the entrées were just alright. Malbec, of course, was tasty, as was the passionfruit juice, but they don’t have liquor, so no option for that. The server was attentive & polite, asked if we’d like to speak in Spanish or English. It was a bit noisy inside, but they were accommodating & moved us from the outside when it . Overall, I’d return, but it wasn’t my favorite. I think that the steak would be better.

You aren’t allowed to order a glass of wine here without also ordering food. This is not stated on the menu or when you walk in. The place is covered in wine bottles and advertised as a wine bar, so this rule makes no sense.

Going El Patio is like you’re traveling to Argentina without leaving DC. The food and vibe is incomparable! Not only the food is amazing but the wine and deli shop in the restaurant is nostalgic according to my Argentinian friend. The meat on the grill (Parrillada) for two can actually feed the whole family (4ppl). We definitely had a food coma after the dinner.
