My husband and I have been going here for 8 years. We’ve never had an issue with food! It’s still good. Service has always been pretty decent. But, we’ve noticed it gradually getting worse over the last year. Last time we were there, they were not busy at all, maybe 5 tables. We ordered tacos. It literally took nearly 30 minutes for our tacos to get to us. We were sitting right where we could see where the food comes up at. Ours sat there for about 15 minutes before the waitress delivered it. It’s ok. It reflected in her tip and we won’t likely return to this location even though it’s just 5 minutes from our house. Miss the server Miguel! Best service always from him!

Had a great lunch this past Saturday. Frequent across the street more often but still stop by here from time to time. The large margaritas are only $15.00 which is cheaper and the shrimp cocktail is only $10.99 and the frozen lime marg that i had was strong, in a take-out cup, and had trouble finishing it due to the strength and size. the shrimp cocktail was absolutely off the hook. totally on point. best i’ve ever had and a steal at the price. the taco’s were OK, not best ever or anything but the cocktail and margarita combo was a tough act to follow. it reminded me that i have to come here more often. a little lacking in atmosphere, could use a central bar.

Again, no pictures. Let me tell you though, this place is MONEY!!! Margarita’s were pretty damn big. Could always use another shot…I like Tequila what can I say. Had a modulo in a large plastic beer glass. let me just tell you this beer stayed ice cold for a good amount of time. plus Modulo on tap is very good, better then the bottle in my opinion.

The food was ok. But what was really bothersome was the waitress was completely incompetent of what food allergies are. A table next to us with severe food allergies to shellfish and explained to the waitress several times NO shellfish. So what happened? She delivers plate of carne WITH shrimp on top and said she didn’t understand what he said though he said it very clearly and thoroughly. So clearly that we understood and we weren’t even at the same table. So if you have food allergies do NOT come here. Also the waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted refills once.

The service was fantastic, the food was delicious overall but I wish they had at least warmed the tortilla for the soft tacos. They seemed to be just out of the package. However the food was very flavorful and made up for that short comings. I had the Tacos Al Pastor and a friend had Burrito Jarocho which they greatly enjoyed.

I was visiting a friend in Fredericksburg (from Alexandria), and he suggested El Patron. His wife had great things to say about the margaritas. Although a Peruvian woman, she told me that the food seemed “authentic.” They were right! I had one small original margarita on the rocks. Strong and tasty. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. I had tacos de lengua (tongue). So tender. His wife had a whole fried fish (mojarra). I kept asking for pieces. Tasty! And lastly he had a very large burrito. I was the only one to finish a meal. Great time!

We ordered delivery and the food was cold with no cutlery also it was very poorly seasoned the chips were stale. Being that I eat authentic Mexican food pretty often I can tell you this is anything but that. Also they throw a Tomato slice on top and call that dish having tomato’s in it.
