My parents and I have been coming to El Patron off and on for the past year since it was recommended to us by friends! It’s fantastic!!! It’s worth the drive! The food is very good! Great portion sizes! And the best thing is, the food tastes great! Love their salsa as well! Would highly recommend to everyone!

First time trying El Patron and I was not disappointed. Was greeted at the door and seated right away. A little bit busy but that didn’t stop the service from being amazing. Prices were reasonable for the huge portions. Chip we’re fresh and loved the salsa because it actually had cilantro in it and most places don’t put it in it. The sweet tea was fantastic and so was our food. I got shrimp fajita nachos and my fiance got the steak & chicken fajita combo. Everything about this experience was 10/10. We will definitely be back and I recommend if you like Mexican foods to stop in and give them a try.

The food was on point! They seemed to do a pretty decent amount of business. Everyone in our party was pleased with their order and there was seven of us so that was pretty good. The only reasons I didn’t give them 5 stars was because the first table they sat us at had water dripping onto the table from the ceiling, probably from the A/C unit as it was hot outside. Our server didn’t bring one of the dessert orders, and we never saw him again to rectify it, but it wasn’t on the check either so he may not have heard it. And lastly we would have liked to have seen him more for refills on drinks. The place really was busy as it was a Friday night. Other that that, we will definitely visit here again!

This place is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant I have ever been to so far. Their food is always fresh, and flavor profiles will blow your mind. The plate presentation is always spot on. If you want a great experience. This will leave you satisfied and wanting to come back for more. Try the quesadilla Mexicana.

Me being from outside of Wartburg I have a local Mexican Restaurant that I go to. I consider the food and atmosphere at my local spot to be a 10 out of 10. El Patron would be a 9 out of 10. A 9 out of 10 is a great score too. Loved the enthusiasm of our server, he was awesome. I noticed everyone else’s service with the other servers was great too. The food and atmosphere was only slightly lower than my local spot. And I mean only slightly. The food was awesome at El Patron and so was the atmosphere, so don’t think that me giving it a 9 is a slight against the place. Plenty of restaurants have gotten a 5 or lower for various reasons. This place, El Patron, didn’t disappoint at all. Me and my wife left nothing on our plates. Great job El Patron! I recommend the Polo Con Queso, delicious

I love Mexican food and restaurants and some places you go the salsa is to hot or not hot enough and the chips are stale etc. but not here El Patron was amazing the have great fast friendly service clean restaurant the salsa was just right and the chips were fresh and not stale. If you’re in the area I definitely suggest stopping in and having dinner or lunch. 10/10 for me for sure. Also the fried ice cream is great lol

I am very familiar with authentic Mexican food having lived in San Antonio, TX for 13 years. This was the most unMexican food I have ever eaten. My husband ordered a dish with chorizo. Not sure if it actually was chorizo, but he was sick for two days. I ordered shrimp tacos and the shrimp was flavorless and undercooked. It would have been nice to have heard Mexican music playing, but some other music was on. This is the first review I have ever written and I love Hispanic culture, but any Mexican I know could have done better. Very surprised and disappointed.
