So this restaurant is off Menge Avenue, since it has been in the news so much just the exit we thought we would check out what the hoopla was and found this Mexican restaurant along the way.

I stopped on a whim while traveling, and I am very glad I did! I was greeted immediately and welcomed. Chips were thin and crisp, and the salsa was flavorful, mild, and not a strong cilantro flavor. I added a bit of hot sauce since it was just me, and I like it a little spicy.

I really liked the atmosphere…very nice! Large tables for group seating. And booths for a more ‘cosy’ atmosphere. Service was very good. My waiter was Anthony and he was very attentive and polite. I had the cheese enchilada dinner. I actually dod NOT like the “red” enchilada sauce…it was dark brown and not tasty at all. The beans were “creamy” and I prefer to actually SEE some beans, or at least some texture to the beans. Oh, and I had a margarita…it was tasty, but kind of expensive. I will go again. And, to recommend.

We were next door at the Shoe Store shopping when we saw this place and decided we were hungry. So we decided the four of us would go next door and have lunch, when we walked up to the door we saw the special was the fajita burrito, two of my favorite Mexican foods in one. So three of us ordered the fajita burrito, my wife and I got ours with chicken my brother-in-law got his with steak and my mother-in-law got the combo three, and that combo must have been good because she cleaned it up. As for our burritos, they were out of this world! I don’t know what seasoning they used in the meat, but it had a nice little zip to it. Having lived in New Mexico for 20 plus years, I think we know Mexican food. So if you’re in the area and you want good Mexican food, I highly recommend this place.

The seats we sat at felt like they had a towel rolled up under our butt. They were so low I felt like I needed a booster seat just to have a reasonable eating hightwhile we were seating at the booth on the wall. The food was bland, but the salsa was very salty and tasted like pizza seasoning. When they brought out my fajita I burnt my arm on the plate handle because of how low the seats were and the handle didn’t have a oven mitt cover nor did the server tell me that the food was cooked on the skillet. The fajitas was really greasy. My companion had the chicken Caso and she didn’t like it either. She tried some of mine and didn’t like it. The best thing I liked about the restaurant was the decor. The queso dip tasted sweet for some reason. The chips were good. She did like the unsweetened tea. Also forgot that they didn’t bring our tortillas when our food came out. But she did go back and get them.

This is a fantastic little Mexican restaurant. The food is simple but delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. The price is reasonable. You can’t ask for more than that!
