Loved the atmosphere. The passion fruit sangria we ordered was yummy. I ordered the skirt steak with shrimp and it was delicious. A little overcooked than I wanted it to be but seasoned very well and was still tender. The shrimp were perfect. My sides were delicious as well. I ordered the white rice and potatoes which was cooked perfectly and I absolutely loved it. Will most certainly make another visit soon!

My gf and I decided we wanted Mexican food today thats not overly expensive so we decided to give El Patron a shot on Bay St….. One of the worst experiences in a restaurant that we’ve ever had, took close to 30 minutes just to get served, and over an hour for our food to get to the table. The place wasn’t even that busy…. We each got a margarita each because you can’t go wrong with a margarita at a Mexican restaurant right? Wrong!… One of the worst Margaritas i’ve ever had was drinking straight up Margarita mix that was syrupy and disgusting. First time ever that I left the restaurant without finishing my drink….. The food looked unappetizing and just made us sick to our stomachs….. You would think you cant go wrong with a burrito and 2 tacos, but it was disgusting….. And then here is the best part….. This place has the sack to charge a service fee of 20 percent! So you’re forced to leave a tip after that garbage…… And they don’t accept credit or debit! You either have to have apple pay or pay with cash which i found to be ridiculous in this day and era that we live in….. Just want to give everyone a heads up just in case they want to go too this place….

The cashier girl has the nastiest attitude of any server I’ve ever had. I don’t know how she has the job let alone hasn’t had someone make a scene. She’s outwardly rude for literally no reason (other than maybe not liking her job). It’s a shame because the food is delicious and the business deserves someone who’s a normal person as the face. Didn’t even stay to get my food after having already paid, not worth it. Would not recommend walking in if she still works there.

I went there for the first time on Memorial Day after enjoying a tour of the USS Milwaukee that was docked at Homeport. The food was amazing, large portions, and the service was attentive and professional. I had the steak burrito meal shown in my picture. I will definitely return, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Theres a weird smell when you walk in. I cant pinpoint what it is. This waitress is so nasty..doesn’t greet or even offer a smile, some attitude when taking our order. Three of us and 5 tortilla chips in a tray no salsa. Food is bland and just isn’t so appetizing. Drinks not even cold and she’s too upset about working here she didn’t offer us ice. This Mexican rice is mushy..like cmon. The place has ok decor but that’s about it. Cambie de mesera..la que tiene esta amargada y se mira que no tiene deseo de trabajar aqui. Es bien desagradable. ya no regresamos a este negocio. No tomo fotos de la.comida por no faltar el respeto.

My husband loves a particular soup they make here (I forget what it’s called, but it’s a traditional Mexican tripe soup) – but I won’t even give it a taste, because A) I refuse to eat tripe, and B) the soup has a dark orange oil slick on top, is very greasy looking overall, and smells like dirty dishwater…

Good food and service. They need to get new knives and forks. They are like dollar store utensils. Also make sure you check the receipt they include the tip.

Tried this place. Birria tacos were dry, and the sauce very bland. food trucks are better. There is no meat in the tacos at all! Meat fat, and waste of money. I’m surprised there was no seasoning in the meats and even the taco itself. Fat, fat, and no meat. I nearly choked. Meat wasn’t cut up at all.
