I normally only leave reviews for outstanding or terrible experiences. We tried El Pescador, Santa Paula based on 4.1 rating and phots of food. Figuring it’s pretty much a guarantee to score decent beans, rice & chips if nothing else. The restaurant specializes in Mexican seafood but, as stated, experience says it’s hard to miss on the Mexican food staples (beans, rice, chips).

Plenty of parking free shots of tequila for lunch periodically and the food is great .

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Santa Paula CA hands down! All the food was fresh and the wonderful people that work here are awesome and very accommodating, friendly and helpful! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to come back again! Thanks for making this such a pleasant experience! If you are looking for a place to eat look no further! You won’t regret it!

Yummie mex food with emphasis on seafood and fish specialties. There is a lot of food and different sauces. It was a nice change from the standard dishes, but a bit too much for my stomach to handle. Still a nice change from the norm.

I love their lunch menu. This last time I had a couple tacos and ceviche toastada. Reasonably priced, you really can’t go wrong here.

This was my second time here and both times the service was amazing! The staff is honestly very sweet and always checks up on you. The food has also been consistently good and there’s always something new to try. I can say that my family and myself plan to continue coming to this restaurant.

Pulled into this gem solo and was greeted very friendly. Dining solo is sometimes awkward but not here. Food was delicious. I want to go back and try more of there dishes

This place is absolutely horrible. We ordered a “molcajete” and a “mar y tierra” plate. To start, the molcajete barely had any salsa in it. The meat was old and hard to bite. The tortillas were cold and it seems they were heated up in the microwave. Nothing had flavor to it. The rice seemed like it was days old and just reheated. The shrimp were dry and hard. A few pieces of tomato tasted rotten. Everything was tasteless and totally not worth the price. For those two items, the bill came out to $55! Save your money and go elsewhere, this place is a joke. I asked to speak to a manager and surprisingly was told that they do not have a manager or supervisor. The only person in charge is the owner and he was not there. Needless to say, we will never come back to this place.

The food is very tasty and delicious. Great customer service. However you’re going to pay the price. I understand that fish products are more expensive however I only ordered 2 orders of AquaChiles and it was $50 a little pricey for appetizers.

Best Mexican Seafood Restaurant around! The Ceviche and Shrimp Soup are my favorites. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from here.
