Truly authentic Colombian food. The staff was amazing. The food was even more amazing. A diamond in the rough! A must stop foodie experience!!!! Plenty of parking ️ Remember it is downtown Portland. Delicious and authentic! The fried yucca is crispy but tender inside, the dipping sauce is really good. The cheese empanada was one of the best I have had in yearssss. Everything was outstanding and they were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food. One of the best food carts in Portland. The Hawaiian empanada is so good. So are the benuelos and peandeyuca. The rest looks so delicious. The fruit drink is delicious. Very friendly and helpful people at this cart! This cart was amazing in 2016 and its still amazing in 2023!

I used El Pilon for catering a party and they were amazing! I called them in a slight panic, making sure everything was okay and they were so patient with me. I was nervous and they put me at ease. Delivery was on time and quick. Everyone loved the empanadas! The next time I am down town, I will for sure be stopping by again!

We stumbled on this food truck while checking out the record store across the way. We both love Latin food, as my wife is from Brazil. The fried yuca is the best I’ve ever had!! As a Venezuelan who’s an expert in Arepa and Empanada, I can confirm this place is good. The staff is a husband and wife team who are kind-hearted people that make delicious food for reasonable prices. Make sure you try one of their juices – the Soursop is a Latin American classic and bursting with flavor. The menu does lean heavily toward fried options, so just be mindful unless you don’t mind being bloated on a date. Parking is conveniently located behind the truck, so give it a try!

It’s yummy, had the cheese arepa and cheese and beef empanadas. They are a bit pricey though and the arepa dough is not all that flavorful, it was a bit on the bland side. The place is legit though, good food.
