12JUN22: This restaurant just recently opened, within the last month or so, & has room for improvement. It is located on the north side of Chef Highway/Hwy 90 about a mile west of I-510. You order at the counter & wait at your table for your food. The seating area is small with only metal tables & chairs. Some may find the chairs uncomfortable. The two women working at the counter were nice. They do not have any cold drinks or fountain drinks. They have room temperature cans of Coke, Pepsi, & Sprite (No diet options) & a couple of bottles of drinks I did not recognize. Their food is pricy for what you receive. I had the four taco meal, 2 beef & 2 chicken. The tacos come with the meat you order & a little pico de gallo. They were almost $4 per taco. The beef tacos tasted good but there was fat, gristle, & burn pieces of meat. The chicken tacos were tasteless. My wife had the quesadillas, $5 each, which were almost tasteless. We both used a lot of red sauce & the watery guacamole sauce for taste. Their receipt printer did not work. Some may say it is a small step up from Taco Bell, some may say not… It was not a total loss but we will not go back.

This place was awesome and their food was amazing! We got the pound of carnitas which came with a side of beans and rice and tortillas for 20 dollars plus tax. Their cucumber/lime and pineapple Agua Fresca was delicious and refreshing! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed and the music which made me feel right at home. I’m so glad we stopped here before we headed out of Louisiana!

Placed an order through their website totaling $125. arrived to pick it up and they told me the only use grub hub and Uber eats, so they have no record of the order even though my credit card was charged. They were also out of food so couldn’t fulfill my order. Then I waited 20 minutes for them to try to figure out how to refund me. Finally left and will dispute the charge with my bank. Never again.

This is an incredible family owned restaurant. It’s very clean and well kept, the staff is nice, and the food came out fast and hot. Ordered the chicken burrito and quesadilla which each came with salsa roja and guacamole (which was super super good). On top of that, the horchata was super sweet how I like it. I will definitely be back.
