Usually like el pollo loco but first time at this location and they didn’t heat up my quesadilla or BRC. The birra quesadilla is $10 and they barely but anything inside it just lots of onions and legit a chunk of avocado in one corner. There was no line in store or drive thru just a few customers in side not sure why they made the food so bad and small.

One of my favorite fast food places and the food at this location is always hot and fresh. The salsa bar is always clean. From tacos to salads to piping hot chicken there is something to whet anyone’s appetite. And they are always running a special. Are you a member of their ‘Loco Rewards’? So it’s Super Bowl Sunday and this location is open today. What with Covid and no one wanting to work for “slave wages” any more the dining room has pretty much been closed for weeks drive through only. So I was pleasantly surprised when the walk in was open. The restaurant is open most of the time but occasionally closed for drive through only. They often run out of items but I imagine that is due to suppliers.08/20/22 This location is walking distance for me so it is easy to get to however since the pandemic it has been hit and miss as far as the service, cleanliness and having food items. The crew has almost been completely turned over and often the dining room is closed and only the drive through is open due to a shortage of staff.04.29.23 Update…I’ve said it before ever since the pandemic this location has gotten progressively worse. From the moment you drive onto the parking lot it feels dirty. Trash dumpsters always over flowing. The lot is dirty. Inside the eating space is filled with dirty tables and floor. While I was standing in line there was a huge spill of what looked like Sprite on the floor but it was under staffed so no one to clean it up. The line was long only one person at the register. It appeared only 4 persons were working and it was 1:30 on a Saturday. I was number 300. After a literal 15 minute wait I hear 302 being called. After inquiring where was my order it was determined they had somehow lost it and made it quickly. I even find the food not as tasty as it used to be.

I normally don’t complain about waiting for my food, but this experience was ridiculous. My order was said to be ready at 1:30, got to the restaurant at 1:40, and proceeded to wait almost another 40 for my food to be ready. If there was going to be a problem, they should’ve called me and told me like many of restaurants have. The cashier was the only helpful person trying to get my order ready, while some of the other people had no urgency about my order.

This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in fast food. Through the drive through, the workers didn’t seem to care to take our order and made us wait 10 minutes. When they finally took our order, the guy was unprofessional and mocked what we ordered and when we ordered a chicken meal he said let me check if I have chicken. Really? We then said we would be leaving as it was horrible service and as we drove by the two workers were just laughing. We arrived more than 30 minutes before they closed so they are just childish and we will never come back to this location.

I went to the Glendale El Pollo Loco. I tried to order the Birria tacos. They ran out. I ordered the Birria Quesadilla. It was a tortilla stuffed with shredded beef Birria meat. It had onions, cilantro and avocado, it hardly had cheese. Being a quesadilla you would think it would have cheese. It came with the consume and tortilla chips. It was $9.19. With tax $10.17. I think that is too much for 1 Quesadilla with shredded beef, chips and consume. I went to the El Pollo Loco in Atwater Village. I had the Shredded Beef Birria Tacos. It was $8.29. I ordered an extra Shredded Beef Birria Taco. It was $4.19 for 1 taco. I ordered a Mexican Coke. It was $2.99 for a bottle of Coke. For 3 tacos, chips, consume and a bottle of Coke was $17.16. I think that was too much. The tacos were over cooked. My extra taco did not have cheese. It was over cooked. The tacos and quesadilla were not worth it.

Kesia at the drive through window was extremely rude. When I wanted to speak to the manager about something prior that had nothing to do with her she gave me the hardest time. When I got my change back from her she pushed it into my hand with her fingers. Disgusting person. She needs to be taught customer service.
