While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Garden Grove,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

This was the very first time I was disappointed visiting/eating El Pollo Loco. I felt sorry for the one guy who was doing the job of 2.5 people during lunch time. My classic tostada was made as though that location was running low of products. From the amount of sour cream, cheese, chicken, etc. Even the tostada shell was not crunchy. I almost returned my food to get my money back but due to a crunch in time and I had gone out for a 40 minute run in the morning…I tolerated my lunch. Poor management is what I observed there. I will still visit El Pollo Loco but not this location.

On Thursday the 22nd of June 2023 @9:30 pm my husband and I pulled up to the store the drive thru and store was already closed the sign on the door said dining room closed at 10 and drive thru closed at 10:30 pm. The store employee told me they were closed and I said your hours say your open and she repeated were closed but your sign says your open i repeated to her and she threw her hands up in disgusted turn her back to me and said were closed and preceded to walk away. I’m taken aback by her attitude and poor customer service skills.

Very long wait, 20 minutes for 3 cars back. Only stopped because I needed something quick to eat on my way to pick up my kids. So, the timing is half of why I did 2 starts. Secondly, the rice was either overly browned or it had dried out. It was crunchy and not good at all. I ordered two BRC burritos, I wanted pico & creamy cilantro inside the burritos, but they are charging .40 cents now, so I just got the cup of it, which was also .40 cents. It’s also disappointing because the pico was almost non-existent, minimal, and only on one half of the burrito. It also STUNK. I got back into my car after getting the kid’s and I thought I had left some food or something in my car that made it stink, spent time searching my trunk and car but did not find anything. Put the second burrito in the fridge, and the next day, my car has zero smell. I smell it in the fridge now. Tossing it. $7 lost. Next time, I’ll spend a couple more bucks and get Chipotle, more food, and taste way better.

Tried the salad and though it tastes good and looks fresh I’m not satisfied. The place is not well maintained and the bathrooms are not working. I think as a general rule if you go to a place and the bathrooms are broke —- flee!

I go everyday , but this was last Thursday night 6/22/2023 , I got a two piece meal, always seem short staffed in the inside but the drive through girl Grecia was great, she gave me the salsa I asked for and was very polite.

That food was really good. Some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had and the side were good as hell too. Definitely will be back.

The chicken was very dry and not too flavor. Quesadilla was pretty good tho. Sides didn’t have much flavor either. Probably won’t ever go back here

What I don’t understand is why when you are ordering your food ahead they ask you for all your personal al info. I get it ask for my telephone number that’s okay but when you are asking for my email that’s personal and that shod only e shared at your account not theirs. It should be your choice who you want to give it to and not be told you can finish your order unless you give us this information. Why is that? I was not happy with that that’s why I just walked in to buy. I asked the cashier why they do that and he said he didnt know. I asked again and he said and I quote I just work here. Wow really not even your cashiers know how to answer that. I really think that you should change that policy because your are basically invading someone’s privacy and that’s not right. Had I given my EmaiI I can almost guarantee that I would of started getting a bunch of emails from them that I don’t want. El Pollo Loco you might want to think about that policy you have of asking people for their private emails.

The drive-thru cashier closes the window before you can say anything. I waited a few minutes to let her know I was missing some items from my order, but she never came back. And I couldn’t wait longer since I was taking my lunch… all in all terrible attitude and really bad service.
