We saw the sign for chicken but were cruising past- best u-turn decision ever! It’s hard to find affordable yucca and plantains…and the chicken is so moist. Sauces are tasty. Staff is very friendly, and the ownership is local. The dining area is simple and kept clean. Go, eat, ENJOY!

Walked into the restaurant. Waited 2-3 mins before being told we are waiting on chicken..it’ll be 10 mins. 20 mins later the chicken was finally ready. Paid $16 for half dark chicken and 2 sides of yucca. Yucca was dry and old not fresh. The chicken was heavily seasoned greasy and the outside layer fried. Not good or worth the $16

Second time I feel nauseous/sick after eating here recently. I don’t know if it’s the hot weather, but looking at the reviews I’m apparently not the only one. There was a weird taste to the chicken preceding both of these times feeling sick as well. Something is up with the way the chicken is being stored. This place was really good until summer hit.

Best peruvian chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken was tender and moist. Just the right amount of seasoning. Sauces and sides were also amazing. Highly recommend this place it was amazing.

I have supported the family of this business since they were in a tiny spot in Arlington with minimal seating. To the bigger location up the street. I have been to all location Arlington, Maryland, Woodbridge. I went to the Fairfax location 3 weeks ago still same great service and food. However today I went in order half dark , fries coleslaw as always. Sadly I was served cold, dry, over salted chicken that had to be sitting since 3pm. I got there at 530. Younger Generation of the family needs to be taught timing dinner for fresher chicken. They don’t understand the legacy they have been handed and the importance of keeping that alive. I live in Sterling and would rather drive to Arlington if this is what Fairfax will be offering. #loyal #supporting. ❤

Amazing chicken, tastes just like the original in Arlington! Skin was crispy, chicken was moist and fries and yuca on point. Management was friendly and really cared about your order. Definitely a go to place for Peruvian chicken in the area.

Chicken was extremely dry! And had a strong flavor of cumin. Yuka was soggy, sauces were ok. This place is no comparison to the Arlington location. This is NOT on Peruvian chicken level. Will not return. Que viva el Perú Carajoooo.

I am so glad Fairfax can more conveniently enjoy what Arlington, Wheaton, and Woodbridge have been enjoying for years and years. I just had to visit this location of the pollo a la brass experts in their first week. In their first week growing pains they did not have a couple of items I would normally order. I settled for a half chicken with both types of starches and a side of beans. (For those into sodas to drink I recommend having an Inca Cola to get that Peruvian bubble gum flavor to contrast with the spice level in the chicken.) The chicken was as I remembered: flavorful without being too salty and nearly perfectly roasted and cooked. The green sauce adds the perfect complement of heat to the chicken. Both potato and yucca sides go well. The beans (not pictured) were also fine, although I wonder whether black beans would be more appropriate. Avoid the cole slaw which has a somewhat mushy texture and way too mayonnaise-y and over dressed a taste. They did not have any fried plantains or alfajores besides the last one I got this evening which was a disappointment hopefully rectified as they ramp up this location in the coming weeks. I am definitely looking forward to future visits and enjoying the king of Peruvian barbecue chicken!
