The local legend, everyone from our local residents to summer vacationers and people from surrounding counties make a trip to El Potrillo part of their routine year round. Wonderful food, family atmosphere and tv for sports in the rear bar/patio area. Have a birthday? Let them know and they will give your loved one an experience they’ll never forget. In the area for a weekend getaway and decided to try El Potrillo. What an incredibly delicious dinner and very friendly staff! Every dish was tasty. Salsa, chunky guacamole, margaritas, carne asada tacos and a house specialty bowl filled with mouth watering chicken, beef, shrimp, veggies and cactus! Highly recommend!

Great lunch. I’m a lot particular about the Mexican food that I eat after living in the southwest for a decade. The food was excellent and well priced. My only wish was that the salsa had more heat. I understand that we are in Tennessee, but a little more heat was be awesome.

I tried to call to place a to go order but they ignored the phone. I know they ignored the phone because I called again after arriving at the restaurant and watched the lady ignore the phone. She was rude when I asked that my food be put in separate containers. The food was okay at best.

The absolutely best Mexican food in the area. Memphis included. Always wonderful chips and salsa. The chips are thin and crispy and fresh. The salsa is mild and has a wonderful cilantro finish. The service is impeccable. I do no have a single complaint about this place. The flauantas, sorry for the spelling, are absolutely great. They also have a lunch menu where one can get full and very satisfied for less than 6 bucks.
