Had a wonderful experience her with my wife while on our RV trip. It was recommended by the lovely ladies that work at the nearby KOA. This is authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest. I never would have thought that in rural Virginia we would find such a place. We got burritos and quesadillas which were to die for. We also both ordered peach Margaritas which we very flavorful. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who knows what true Mexican food is.

My husband and I eat here regularly because the food is so good, no matter what we order and the best frozen lime margarita! The dining area and restroom are always clean. The wait staff is pleasant and willing to please.

I am so excited to have a Mexican restaurant in this area and I hope they will stay. I hope with time they will become more organized and improve their waiting service. The service is in great need of improvement. People tip based on service, I hope they will begin to understand that concept and make changes. I will wait a while before I try them again and we will see.

My first time here. I will say, the chips were stale…was not excited about that, but then, the food was fabulous. Enchiladas poblanos, flavor was perfect, I was thrilled with it. Then I had the best sopapillas since I moved here 7 years ago…i will definitely be back. And my server, Carolina was so fun and very attentive. overall a wonderful visit

We have enjoyed dining here several times. The food is delicious and prepared fresh and you are served fresh chips and salsa while your meal is prepared. The portions are generous! You can also call in to order carry out. There is a wide variety of menu entrees including vegetarian selections, and child portions.

Grabbed take-out during prime dinner hours; service was quick and we enjoyed authentic flavors and huge portions at a reasonable price. (I had the Ranchero Burrito w/ Chicken and I’ll enjoy leftovers). Heat/spice level was perfect for me but I’m sure they’d adjust for tender tummies. Salsas were on-point, verde was my fave. Friendly staff, adequate parking. Will be back!

Ordered two dishes. The camarones ranchero was awesome! Highly recommend. The fish tacos were not good. I expected more of the flounder but it was a few small pieces of flounder plus a lot of the pico de gallo. Not what I’d expect for a fish taco.

I don’t particularly like Mexican restaurants I never seem to order the right thing and usually leave disappointed. That is not the case with El Ranchero. Ever since going here I actually look forward to coming back which says a LOT when it comes to me personally. Food was great, we only had to wait for like 10 minutes and the staff was super friendly. I think this is going to become a regular thing for me and the fam. Thanks guys!
