This review is for those of you out there that was like oh an almost 4 star rating? That’s not too bad. Well yes it is. It’s almost four stars due to how darn good the food is IF you get it. Started withe ordering our dinner online. My husband went to pick it up and the waitress/hostess said they didn’t even have our order and was going to put the order in again. My husband wanted to ensure we didnt get double charged and asked that the first order get cancelled. She said she couldn’t even find out order so I sent screenshots showing my husband yes this is the place I put the order in and no I can’t cancel it THEY need to cancel it. The waitress proceeds by canceling some random enchilada order (I’m sorry if that was you). After our second order was being cooked, the lady found our order in another system. She told my husband she had only been working there 2 weeks and didn’t know of it. My husband comes home with our food. I had asked that sour cream and lettuce be added to my burrito. There was none to be found. Also it was supposed to be “smothered” (as the menu says) with cheese sauce. You could see the bottom of the plate there was so little cheese sauce. All in all the food was good so a one time mess up was okay but I will not be returning and would not recommend it.

We tried to support this place because it was local and they seemed to need the business. The food was ok but not stellar but one of the last times I went the server seemed super nice, which encouraged me to revisit. My wife and I went a month or so ago. There was not a single customer there. We asked to sit outside because the weather was nice and they had outdoor seating. The hostess said she wasn’t sure if we could eat outside and went to ask the server, who was just sitting by himself at a booth on his phone; they conversed for a bit and she returned to tell us we could not eat outside but gave no reason as to why, so, we politely left and went to another Mexican restaurant up the street. I guess they didn’t really want the business on a dead day. I decided then I would not return. It’s little surprise they might be out of business now.

Giving a heads up to the locals here Rancho Viejo looks to be permanently closed. Me and my wife was going to go yesterday and there’s all sorts of notices on the door

I was hoping this would be a great place. It was however my first visit here, I called in my order to go lunch special. So I didn’t get a total before the restaurant guy hung up. I get there it’s totally DEAD but it’s lunch on a Tuesday. So anyways I go in the employee doesn’t speak English at all but writes on paper only cash..so signs 2 places said all cards accepted I was using a truist debit card so I ask how much cash I needed he looked and wrote down $14 from the ATM. needless to say I canceled my order and didn’t come back. Hoping others have a better experience

This is another place my wife and I have enjoyed over the years. Again another fine meal and Hermelinda was such a great server.

Fresh and delish! Could use a little more variety of hot sauce but was really really good

The food was ok. A little stingy on the salsa, barely 1/4 full. The tortilla soup was very disappointing. The soup portion was generous but lacked flavor. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito and I’ve never seen chicken the color of orange I’ve seen today. Overall I’m under impressed and will choose to dine elsewhere next time.

This place has the best white sauce but that’s where it stops. They served us the yin and yang of tacos. One a normal hard taco shell and the other brown on the verge of black. We asked for them to fix it, the waitress obliged and you hear the cook screaming that it’s only lightly toasted and it’s fine and cusses. Then finally throws a plate with a new taco in the window. The salsa they serve is filled so heavily with chipotle flavoring it covers up the tomatoes and cilantro flavors. My wife ordered a cheese enchilada that was a solid block of cheese and not even reheated properly. Smothered with the chipotle laced salsa that made it nearly inedible. My dish was supposed to have pork chunks, but I was given pork mash. One half smothered in the salsa roja, the other half smothered in salsa Verde. It was so disgusting almost to the point of it being rancid.

No one should order a meal and get a snack of one chimichanga and a spoonful of beans. The portion size is extremely inadequate. I’ve eaten here for years and I’m very disappointed. Never been served so little as a meal. Do not recommend.

Got my order wrong 3x in the same order. No one at location speaks English. Was told for 3 days manager/owner would be in later or in morning and issue still not resolved. Save your money.
