This isn’t some fancy Mexican restaurant or a taco joint. It’s a legitimately delicious place to get some good food. Prices are good and portions are outrageously big. This is my go to lunch place when I’m in town and then I end up with second lunch the next day with leftovers.

I drive thru this area all the time but this was my first visit to El Recreo. After reading all the reviews I had pretty high expectations and I was not disappointed! I got 2 Tinga Tostadas and a Chorizo Gordita. The tostadas were brought out first, within just a few minutes, and they were excellent. Especially with the salsa verde and squeezed lime juice. Everything tasted fresh and they were very flavorful. The gordita was brought out shortly after. It’s huge, first of all. You definitely get your money’s worth. Crispy outside and exploding with flavor inside. So good. I will definitely be back again soon!

Tacos very good not spectacular but very good. For me lacking a bit of seasoning and the obligatory fried onion and hot pepper. Restaurant very clean. Given there are so many taco spots in the area it definitely worth a try.

AMAZING FOOD, I’ve had a torta and that thing is huge I ate half and saved rest for home. Hot food everything taste fresh. The drinks are cold and good.. RECOMMEND 10/10 .. I don’t eat Mexican food often but this one beats all of them ..

Delicious food, super friendly service in a very cute place! Easy parking, and they even have vegetarian options (we didn’t try). We ordered horchata, tortas milanesas, tacos de suadero y tacos de carnitas and everything tasted so great!! Highly recommend, we will definitely be going back.

This place is kind of a hole in the wall, but has amazing food. I got the shot of tacos and my wife got the carnitas. I literally sat there and ate 12 tacos. It is the best place that I’ve found by far, so far in the Renton area. They were made fresh and didn’t have that horrible taste that the meat had been sitting there for a half a day. I will definitely be going back here for future purchases on Mexican food.

I had a tasty, jumbo quesadilla with half mushrooms and half squash flower and I will return to try their tortas and tacos because that quesadilla was memorable. It’s a handcrafted tortilla and the seasoning is spot on.

They have wasted my lunch 3x now. I have went to this restaurant many times the food is good. I always come before lunch rush around 11:45 with no coustomers in the line before me. I order food to-go no customizations. The last 3 times it takes 20-30 minutes to get my food and my lunch is over before i can even eat. When im waiting the lunch rush comes in and EVERY customer gets their order before me distpite being there much later and waiting in a large line to start an order.
