The food is over priced and not good at all. We got the wet burrito which was a decent size but even after 25 minutes of waiting was only slightly warm. The salsa that was on the burrito was really sour because of the amount of lemon they put on it. I bought the Cabo taco for $14 and it was just one taco on two basic tortillas with a bit of cabbage, a squirt of sauce and four pieces of shrimp. The chips and salsa was $3 and also watered down a lot. Tasted like tomato flavored water if anything. To drink I just asked for water which came from the tap (which I’m okay with) but I’m sure their water has some metals or remnants if build up because it has a weird taste. Overall customer service was non existent unless you’re at the bar. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Maybe to get drinks if I was in the area but nothing else.

It’s one of my new favorite places to visit in Camarillo they are under new ownership. The food and service are good, but what really makes El Rey special is the drinks and atmosphere. They have a variety of bands and Djs playing every week. Camarillo needed a fun, socially, friendly place like El Rey.

Pretty disappointing, the most switched on guys was the bouncer which is never a good sign on a sunday night to say nothing all the goons wearing covers at the bar drinking bug juice which is why! Really the only thing wrong enough that I bother with this review is THe CUT DRINKS. After last call I saw them mixing up the bug juice with all the leavings of bunch of old unfinished bottles and the strait drink I ordered tasted strangly salty, these guys aren’t great at doing dishes or something cause some kinda cleaning solution is getting into drinks or they are using ancient long open over oxidized bottles of booze cause I couldn’t finish my drink it was so musty and nasty it made me ill.

Great atmosphere, beer is ice cold, great food, great location, and the staff is super cool especially Wendy.. Ended up here on a Sunday after the Casa Pacifica Wine Festival and it is happening. They have a DJ and I’ve never seen it this packed.

Came to el Rey in Camarillo to watch some football on a Sunday. The service was SLOW !! Waited for our food for almost an hour just to get some burnt taquitos! Literally just ordered appetizers! They comped us our drinks and the taquitos which was appreciated, however it even took loong just to get a drink. I would have even appreciated if the waitress just acknowledged how long our food was taking , but no she barely even checked on us !! I would definitely recommend the Ventura location!!
