We usually visit El Rey de las Fritas at Calle 8 and wanted to try this location. While our experience was good, we noticed a few differences: food is tastier at the Calle 8 location, like the Frita is juicier; also, at Calle 8 staff are way friendlier and the overall atmosphere of the place is more vibrant. In general, we enjoyed our fritas and highly recommend this place, but we find a more pleasurable experience visiting the Rey de las Fritas at Calle 8.

The fritas here are wonderful! Guys, this is a small old Cuban place in Hialeah. One of those where you were able to get a colada at the window instead of walking in…I gave it 5 stars bc the food is good, the servers are real and not there to provide 5-star dining…they smile, they are nice, get the original frita!

Best Cuban fritas, a classic, light bread, Julianne potatoes fries and the perfect meat/chorizo patty that makes a frita cubana. They don’t call the place rey de las fritas (king of fritas) for nothing.

Tasty, delightful, real Cuban cuisine. If you want to know what real typical Miami Cuban food is DON’T GO TO LA CARRETA OR CASAVANA. Go to EL REY DE LAS FRITAS. Any cuban in Miami- Hialeah – Havana will tell you. The fritas are a sandwich made of Smashed pork sausage with a dark red orange color toped with crunchy potato fries and cuban bread. You can also get a fried egg on top and or a slice of american cheese. Sandwiches are a little bigger than white castle burgers and smaller than a Mcdees cheese burger. Its worth the 15 minute ride or if your from out of town. Peace and good eatings. Thumbs up this review if helpful.
